Which 28 OILY DEMOCRATS Just JOINED THE GOP to Vote for Keystone XL?
The House Republicans have been having an exciting week.
On Wednesday, they voted to roll back Dod-Frank.
Yesterday, they voted to weaken the Affordable Care Act.
And today, they voted to approve the Keystone XL pipeline.
And, as always, there are a number of Democrats happy to join them.
The Keystone vote today was 266 to 153, with one "PRESENT" vote. Justin Amash (MI-03) always votes present because, although he supports the pipeline, he does not believe that Congress should be passing legislation on behalf of a single company.

6. Voting to screw their own party
Their votes aren't needed to pass it. It won't pass by a veto-rpoof majority. They won't suffer by voting no. The pipeline isn't economically viable. And the only reason it is being pushed is as a big FU to the Democratic Party and its environmental supporters.
And yet they still voted for it.
I'll bet each and every one of them gets big money from big oil.

I hope they explain precisely WHY they voted for it given there are zero benefits for the American people.

I guess government expenditures (Which this actually isn't for the most part, it's only clearing an Obama-created government logjam that has stopped private-sector construction for six years) are only 'Investments in the future' if they involve large-scale handouts to unions or food stamp recipients.

I can't explain Sheila J-L voting for something that will be good for the US. OTOH, CA Congressman Jim Costa is from CA's southern Central Valley, where the Enviro-Whacks have hurt many farmers and killed off many farm jobs. Not knowing much more of him, I'd guess Costa is a bit less blinded by the "Green" light than many/most CA Ds.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Stupid) is well known as the dumbest person in the Western Hemisphere.
It's very possible she's the dumbest person on earth, but among the squirming, steaming mass of humanity in the uncivilized East there may be a dumber individual who hasn't come to our attention.
Ms. Lee is the high official who hoped the Mars Rover would visit the spot where astronauts landed.
Her support makes me question the pipeline.

The irony is voting against the pipeline is actually the more "environmentally disruptive" alternative. The oil is still going to move, but instead of it being pumped, its going to be hauled.
Its as if the primitives believe that Canada is going to toss its hands up and say "Oh well, I guess that means we need to stop drilling/'fracking' etc. for oil and open up another Tim Horton's instead. ".
Nope.
They are going to move that oil either by ship or truck to its destination, be it a refinery or an already existing pipeline.
And that actually INCREASES the likelihood of a spill, because of the additional moving parts involved. And it increases pollution as it will take oil to move oil. But you know what primitives ? > You keep on keepin' on. Reality will punch you in the face sooner or later, as it always does.

Canada has said that they will build their own pipeline and sell the oil to China. What the environmentalists don't understand, is that China won't be nearly as environmentally friendly the US Refineries are forced to be.

Think back to the new 2007, or was it the 2009 democrat house, when Nancy P. and fellow asses passed a bill forbidding the U.S. from buying Canadian Sand Slope oil. Which shot the price of gas back from below $2 a gallon to over $3 again so it must have been 2009. If I remember correctly, the Canadians wanted to pipe that oil to us but after being blocked by Nancy P. and gang they piped it to the west coast and started selling it to China.
Back during that time, we were using about 21 million barrels of oil a day of which we were getting a little over 9.something million barrels of oil a day from Canada.

My guess is she just didn't have a clue she was actually voting in favor of it, and thought it was about a "Pimp-line" addition to the Obamaphones, or recognition of the birthday of some Italian guy named "Angelo Pippilini."

There are times that I hear liberals talk about Keystone and how evil it is. It will be built without the U.S. government involvement. And they fail to even realize that "evil" oil pipelines already are built & have existed for years.
These libs & DUmmies are simply insane.

They say it is evil because Warren Buffet says it is evil. The pipeline will take money away from his rail-cars that he thinks should be hauling that oil.

Despite that you are just parroting democrat talking points with no clue the reality it funny that economic viability is never worried about when it comes to most green energy ideas or the lefts obsession with high speed rail.
