I believe an apology is in order here...
I guess you can remove a man from Twitter but you can't remove twitter from the man...

Since returning to DU I've been a lot more combative with you than I wanted to. I've angrily lashed out and snapped back at folks I've known 15-20 years for little to no reason. I've ruined threads with hit-and-run posts and for that I'm sorry. It's no fault of your own because I've become a much darker and cynical human than the one you knew before.

I don't think I've properly put into words just how full of blind rage I am over the way this election played out. Yes, we're all mad to some degree, but I'm "go kill a bunch of people" -mad... Like I said before, the first TFG term almost killed me and I'm not certain I'll live to see the end of a second one... It's two weeks until Christmas and I don't even ****ing believe in God anymore... And yes, I'm already seeking help from a mental health professional before anyone suggests it. I just wanted to apologize and tell y'all not to take my overreactions personally...

What a whack job.

I’m glad to see he’s back. I was getting too worried because we haven’t heard from him in a long time. :lmao:

I'm worried for him. Dog knows how he'll survive the forthcoming Trump economy after the happy days of Bidenomics... [/sarc]

Having a financial emergency
Last edited Mon Dec 9, 2024, 08:58 PM - Edit history (1)

Mom and I had a lot of cleaning expenses for the house showings, had to get a freezer, mom fell again and had more appointments, and had to pay the phone bill late. Now my airbed leaked. I can’t sleep in the stripped bed upstairs due to mom needing me downstairs. And then there’s the food - we got a SNAP increase coming but still have to get to the store or order. We were very short to start this month. Now no money at all. If anyone can help, PM me or post here. I hope to raise around $300 but whatever you can give we greatly appreciate. Hope others are having a better holiday season.

I prefer PayPal but have Venmo and recently downloaded CashApp. But not sure how to use CashApp until my CashApp card arrives.

If you want to just PayPal me my PayPal address is matthewd76@verizon.net

a job, and constantly waiting from moms SS payment to post.
This is so wrong. His elderly mother doesn't even have food security because he's apparently the one controlling her SS benefits. And now yet another monthly emergency that wouldn't exist had he gotten a job years ago when this grift started.
Even suggesting it has become a joke. We all know he has no intention of ever working if he can make up enough excuses to get out of it. Even a part time Walmart gig would gross 1000/mo. But he lives on the most dangerous street on the planet and can't ride a bike anywhere, and he's disabled even though he can't get SSI approved. Etc etc

I mean, I'm only getting ssdi. Its scary. But every month he has a disaster. I would get a job to not have to feel this way constantly. I mean, once the house sells and they have money, will this continue.

He can get a WFH job data entry. Meds can be delivered. Why is his mother constantly falling. Is all this true? Is there social worker? An elderly person AGAIN doesn't have food? Id be mortified if this was my mother.

Because you’ve asked again and again. And you’ve gotten amazing advice and been pointed to great resources.

Yet, once again, you’re back to ask for more money.

I think folks are good and generous but at this point it seems more like enabling than help.

You refused, because you couldn't.

I then offered it if you could show a single thing you have done to help yourself or your situation. You made a bunch of lame excuses and then deleted your post to avoid replying or any further discussion.

Fun read. :-)

The DUmpster / Re: I got a jury summons.
« Last post by Happy Fun Ball on December 09, 2024, 05:55:08 PM »
Let's see if I can remember all of this...

It was late 2022. I got a jury summons that said to expect a phone call in a few days if I was chosen by lot. Otherwise, if no call on that day, you can ignore it.

The call did in fact come and it gave me instructions to go to a certain place at a certain time with a copy of the summons.

The day came and I was one of about 32 prospects (not including the 2 or 3 that did not show up). They had us fill out some forms and answer a few basic questions before we were moved to a courtroom.

There, they asked more specific questions like "Do you know or are related to either the plaintiff, the defendant, the judge, or any lawyer on either side?", or "Do you know anything about the case?" in order to whittle us down further. After all of the questions were asked, about half of us were disqualified.

The final phase was another drawing by lot in order to choose the 12.

After this, the trial began. It was a case about nonpayment for some of those ridiculous N95 masks (this was right before the Supreme Court ruled that we couldn't be forced to take the so-called vaccine), and the other side refusing to pay because they thought they were defective. 3 or 4 days went by, and we each got our choice of Jimmy Johns subs (I always chose the italian). After a few days, it got to be a little lighthearted joke, but we did enjoy the free lunch. It was roughly the same hours as a typical work day, getting out around 5 or so.

The case ended, and we're sequestered for the rest of the day (it was shortened because the case finished late in the day) and then the next. I forgot what we all decided, but it was a fairly substantial penalty for one side. After it was all over, we left, never to return and I got a fairly decent check in the mail a few days later. Certainly a lot more than the $6 a day that this guy said he was going to get. Who is he...Al Bundy?

I'd say it was worth the inconvenience. My job excused my abscence for obvious reasons, I got free food, I got to see how a not-Night Court court case operates, I still got paid, and I won't get another jury summons for quite a while, if ever again.

I need to sign up a mole so I can insist that all of these stingy DUmmies give poor starving Matt more money. After all, the more he steals from these idiots, the less they can donate to their commie political causes.

..because I worry about the threads so much. My mom’s lawyer gave me the advice to apply for EBT even though I had been turned down before. They finally realized their mistake and we get for a 2 person household now. Accessing the food is still a problem. Looked into county transportation options and nothing works well yet. Hope still turns out.

Anyway don’t want to argue

ahhh, so moms SS money is also buying his downers. no wonder he gets so desperate so often

This is untenable. You constantly checking to see if your mom's SS came in was disturbing post. You all just cannot do it. It has been like this years. Why won't you go to PA dept of rehab?

HAAAAAAAAHAHAHAH!!!  You said the "J" word. Matt is allergic to job applications, that is his disability.

Things sometimes are more easily said than done.

yup, saying sh*t is most certainly easier than GETTING A JOB.

Hypothetically, they should be POed. Biden is President and should be the leader in US foreign policy. Putting it simply, Biden can't be that leader, because mentally he isn't "all there". The Dems knew that 2 or more years ago, and that he was slipping before then. They could have 25th-Amendmented Biden out of office, replaced him with Kammie, and given her Presidential prominence, but for various reasons did not (the reality of Kammie probably being one reason). A consequence of that choice is that Biden, probably knowingly, is deferring foreign policy to some degree to President-elect Trump. POed Dems are, IRL, POed by their own Biden-or-Bust choice.

Let's be honest...  SloJo never wanted the JOB of a President, he wanted the title and the power, and nothing more. He felt he was owed the spot and has  been after it for a couple of decades, failing over and over until someone crafted the mail-in ballot scheme. He never wanted to do the work, he wanted the title... and as you said, he's likely quite happy to let all of this roll off the end of the table and into Trumps to-do list basket so he doesn't have to deal with it. DOCTOR Jill is probably far more angry at the outcome of things that old Joe is. No honest person would enjoy her position in the manner that she has. But old Joe blew it for her.

side note: I think old Joe is mostly still doing well. But as with all elderly who develop this evil mental degradation, it's an on-n-off thing. It starts with an occasional odd day, then gradually over time turns into more bad days that good ones. but he's sliding down that predictable scale more as every month and year passes. It's sad to watch it happen because I know my days aren't all that far away and I pray it doesn't happen to me. It's a terrible thing to watch, and I imagine it's damned scary to live it. I just have a tough time feeling empathy for that lying crooked bastard. The decent side of me sees the old man suffering (and I see myself as well), but he's such a lying, crooked asshole, it's difficult to walk the line that God demands of me.

Politics / Cheney's Claim About Trump
« Last post by FlippyDoo on December 09, 2024, 04:29:41 PM »
Apparently Liz Cheney has claimed that Trump telling people to PEACEFULLY let their voices be heard "was the worst breach of our Constitution by any president in our nation’s history". https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ridiculous-cheney-responds-trump-floating-jail-time-j6-committee-members

I wonder what the American citizens of Japanese descent who FDR (dem president) put into internment camps feel about her claim.
