Penn strikes agreement with Trump administration over trans athletes
Source: Philadelphia Inquirer

Published July 1, 2025, 4:02 p.m. ET

The University of Pennsylvania will send “personalized” letters of apology to its female athletes who felt aggrieved by transgender swimmer Lia Thomas’ participation on their team and restore Penn records and honors they would have won if not for Thomas, as part of a resolution agreement reached with the federal government.

Penn becomes the first Ivy League university to strike a truce with President Donald Trump’s administration —at least on this issue — since it began targeting some of the nation’s elite universities, threatening funding and damaging policy changes if they don’t comply with certain demands.

This country is becoming a very unfree and fascist place. Can't wear what you want and be who you wish to be.

Title IX is "Fascist"?

Or Stephen Miller? Or Heritage?

Why is every institution caving on all things? Will we all wear the same clothing? Socks?

Violating Title IX would have been expensive.

They will all soon realize that nothing will ever be enough. This will only embolden them to push for more and more concessions.

Agreeing to obey Title IX is a "concession"?

4. NCAA policy already banned trans women from women's teams earlier this year

No one at UPenn's law school is aware of "ex post facto laws"?

UPenn's decision is puzzling. Is this agreement to have a policy that is school-specific, regardless of future changes to NCAA policy or that "Save Women's Sports" executive order? The article indicates that UPenn would comply with T9 "as interpreted by the Department of Education".

Ummmm ... Title IX has been around for decades. It's hardly an "ex post facto law".

Surprisingly, just 3 threads, two with a handful of Replies, one with no Reply. I'll post one thread in the DUmpster.

I cannot think of a worse place to be than in the Everglades in the Summer.
So, I wonder what it will be like to work there. If you have a mass incarceration facility, you need a large staff to just do the basics. Those jobs will definitely not be desirable ones, at any pay level. So, how do they get people to show up and work there?

Imagine, if you will, the hottest, stickiest summer day you've ever experienced. Well, that's what it will be like every day this summer at the Donald J. Trump Alligator Concentration Camp. Who is going to work there? I can't even imagine...

It usually takes them about 24 to 48 hours before the launch I nto insanity... I often think it takes that long fir them to get their talking points from the leftist elites...

I cannot think.

One thing I realized decades ago is that there is no part of the world that lacks something that sucks. In the US: the central US has tornadoes and the New Madrid Fault; the Gulf Coast states have heat and humidity; north central states have terrible winters; the Gulf and East Coasts have hurricanes; the northeast has cold winters and politicians; West Coast states have earthquakes, volcanoes, and politicians.

How about above 10,000 feet in the Rockies during winter.

Oooh, someone needs to whisper that one in Trump's ear. Put an ICE holding facility at the summit of Vail Pass... Open the facility right after the Thanksgiving holiday... Put the "camp" in over the objection of Commie-rado's leftist scum governor...  :naughty: :-) :naughty:

That would suck too, and yet people work in it.  Real work, honest work, stuff the DUmmies turn their noses up at and proclaim "No Americans will do this work!!"

It's all bullshit.  People work in horrible conditions all the time and they make decent, honest, money.  More than most DUmmies will ever see in the total of their miserable existences.  Especially the 90% of them that are on the government tit crying about $100k/year being "wealthy."  It's not poor, but it's not wealthy unless you know how to invest.

This whining and bitching they're doing about this "concentration camp" (and THAT name pisses me off because it diminishes concentration camp!) needs to stop.  They are riling people up with their bullshit lies and they're going to get people killed.  Most of them that do the dying will be their own people because I don't know a whole lot of conservatives that are going to let some wild eyed liberal run up on them with out producing a blue tooth hole puncher.
