Democrats launch a petition against Rush Limbaugh
« on: January 27, 2009, 07:35:39 PM »

CNSNews.com) – The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has launched an online petition for readers to express their outrage at conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh for saying last week that he wanted President Barack Obama to fail.

The petition includes a 19-second sound byte of Limbaugh, saying, “If I wanted Obama to succeed, I’d be happy the Republicans have laid down. I don’t want this to work. So I’m thinking of replying to this guy, say ‘okay, I’ll send you a response, but I don’t need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails.’”

Meanwhile, Obama advised Republicans last Friday to stop listening to Limbaugh if they wanted to get along with Democrats and the administration.

“You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done,” Obama said to Republican leaders who met with the president to talk about the stimulus package.

The Republican National Committee did not return calls requesting comment.

It worked so well for Harry Reid last time the Democrats tried it.

I can honestly say that I hope Obama fails also, especially when it comes to his socialist agenda.  Now, does that mean that I hope the economy worsens. Does that mean that I hope that there is another terrorist attack on this country? No, it simply means that I hope the few Republicans left in congress show some balls and do everything possible to prevent Der Fuhrer's Socialist plans for this country.

Funny thing is, Obama is becoming his own worst enemy at a pace even Jimmy Carter is finding embarassing.

BHO's War on Prosperity needs to be stopped in its tracks.  All of us must do our part to let the conservatives/Republicans know we stand with them in opposing his socialist nonsense.

One week into his Presidency and they are more interested in attacking a radio personality then promoting their own lame policies. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

What does that say about their agenda and why it can`t stand on its own.

It's not like there hasn't been precedent (Joe the Plumber).

Just wait until it's someone who doesn't reach 20 million people a week.

Dems never learn from history on this issue.  They think their past failure at "getting" Rush simply means they didn't try hard enough.

Tom Daschle...Harry Reid...Bill Clinton and now President Obama all went after Rush and tried to make him the political boogey man.

The previous four failed...Obama will fail at his attack too.

Rush will get this petition like he did Reid's letter and auction it off for a worthy cause as well.

Big babies.  I'm trying to recall.   How many petitions were there started by Republicans against Keith Olbermann?  Chris Matthews?  The idiots at CNN?  How about Air America?

That's right - zero.

How scary is it that these big crybabies are running this country?

It is fascinating how the democrats are trying to convince the masses that Rush Limbaugh has no support for his commentaries and ideas.  They are, once again, trying to manufacture a reality to fit their dishonest and misleading ideology.  The democrats are truly puppets of satan.

I join Rush Limbaugh in hoping (and praying) that the illegal and unconstitutional Obama administration continues on the fast track to miserable failurehood.  We know that socialism/liberalism was, is, and always will be a failure, so I don't see how my hopes and prayers cannot be answered.

Not much support....just an average of 25 million listeners. (heard this # the other day on Fox, think it was Shep Smith.)

But seriously folks............. are we conservatives becoming a dying breed?

I would like to think that BHO and the other democrats will self-destruct but they have the media in their corner and the attitude that they cannot let him fail.  How do we compete against that?  What's so disheartening is that even integrity and truth doesn't seem to be important to the media and the people who voted BHO in are, for the most part, big dummies who fell for a slick marketing campaign.

How do you think things will turn out three to four years from now?  These democrats and most likely the media will blame any failures or problems as residuals from Bush and the republicans - and the majority of voters will fall for it.

I predict that even if we are in a major depression in 2011, stupid people will still vote for these democratic idiots.

Please refresh my memory....

How many Dems wanted the Bush Administration to fail?

What did Harry Reid say about the troops?

What did Jack Murtha say about the troops?

Which party called the President a "loser" in front of a group of school children?

Who tried to block every attempt President Bush made to improve the lives of Iraqis?

Which party has run the "dissent is patriotic" meme for the last 8 years?

"Illegitimi non carborundum!"

Conservatives are not a dying breed. Maybe a bit bruised, even gunshy now. But dying? No. Remember: When Newt et. al. became the majority in Congress, it was the first time in 40 years.

We must craft our resistance and responses so they are easy to understand, direct and void of the hype, rudeness and general filth that the lefto-Demo-liberal blogosphere puts out.

We must stay civil.

We must write and speak in ways that appeal to common sense, not emotion--though, when necessary, that, too.

We must hold the Democrats, liberals and leftists accountable for everything they do.

Flood newspaper editorial inboxes with pieces or letters to the editors.

We must do the same for so-called magazines.

We must do the same for the broadcast television channels.

Whatever we do, we must use the same calculated and single-minded discipline to overcome these, these -- those who wish to destroy Americana and silence free speech -- that Obama did to get elected.

We must also flood the Congress, even if our representatives are Democrats, libeerals and leftists, with phone calls and e-mails.

We may need to go to Washington and march in the streets.

And we must suppport Rush and Sean and every non-Democrat/liberal/leftist news/opinion outlet, be they on the air, in print or online.

What the Democrats, liberals and leftists are doing will only work if we let it.

As for the advocacy/adversary media, as I've written at this blog and many places elsewhere, until we get serious and attack them through their advertisers, we won't make a dent.

But when the advertisers see focused economic/consumer-based assaults, iin the form of reduced or non-purchasing of their products, against them, maybe then they'll chew on the advocacy/adversary networks', newspapers' and magazines' ears.

We must not ever give up. Never.

So I’m thinking of replying to this guy, say ‘okay, I’ll send you a response, but I don’t need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails.’”

Today on his radio show, Rush said this: "Well, you know, there have been people raise questions about the constitutionality of the bailouts on the basis that you've mentioned, but somebody's gotta bring the case.  Somebody's gotta bring it up. Nobody's going to bring the case that it's unconstitutional, on whatever grounds that you decide.

Therefore, we're back to where we always are: the constant informing and educating of the American people.  And, by the way, we're talking about hope and change?

I'm reeeally looking for some hope and change.  And one of my big hopes is that at some point enough Americans finally wake up and say, "Wait a minute! We're fed up with the way you people are spending money here."  We can hope.  We just had a campaign on it.

And I'm hoping, and I'm hoping for immediate change, and I'll tell you this: the president of the United States hopes I fail.

Try that.

He also said, though I can't find it, something to the effect that, of course, he, Rush, wants Obama to fail. He does not want Obama's socialism, big governement, pork-barrel stimulus package, etc.

Indeed, may Obama fail at that.

And he said something that I doubt anyone in the advocacy/adversary media has had the intellectual honesty and testicularity to consider, much less say or publish: The Democrats, liberals and leftists have wanted and want now, just a much, for anything Republican and/or conservative to fail: ideals, philosophies, whatever.
