Nope.  Next question.

I expect to see trade wars, foreign policy disasters, a few race riots, a decrease in personal liberty, higher taxes, higher inflation and probably, economic collapse. The silver lining is, secession will probably become more feasible.

Just to give you a short serious answer, it won't happen because there isn't a regional division, or enough of one, for two polarized sides to draw on a territorial base and form a proto-state on reasonably safe territory, the two sides and the middle are completely intermingled without an overwhelming regional issue (And an equally-powerful motive to oppose it outside the region) to define a conflict around which such a war could crystallize.

Also, so many people on each side are big-talking keyboard commandos who in fact are completely dependent on the central government remaining intact, with its banking, transportation, and distribution network, that despite the absurdly threatening and self-proclaimed bad-assery there aren't very many people committed to either side who are willing to throw away everything they have and put their lives on the line.

I wouldn't bother with serious answers with this guy DAT. He's going to give you some one liner he thinks is deep somehow. I wonder what his DU name is?

The right of revolution is an inherent one. When people are oppressed by their government, it is a natural right they enjoy to relieve themselves of oppression, if they are strong enough, whether by withdrawal from it, or by overthrowing it and substituting a government more acceptable.

I agree, already came to that conclusion, really.  Just tired of the inflammatory panicky BS and decided to make an exception to policy and give him one real response.  Pearls before swine, though, as demonstrated.

I'm still trying to figure out if he's a troll or just good ol' fashioned dumb. I was leaning towards dumb but I'm starting to swing the other way.

When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.

My plagiarism-checker site says your quote is 13-words short of an adequate assessment... so I added 13 random words.  The result??  ...Significant plagiarism was detected.

But, to be fair, your 'right to revolution' comment contained no detectable plagiarism... only a comma misuse and a passive voice misuse.

You know the US is doomed when Americans would rather attack those who defend freedom instead of criticizing the government that is enslaving them.

I love pumpkin pie but rarely get to have it since it is just Mrs. FD and I and a whole pie is too much and just goes bad.  I haven't had a family Thanksgiving in 10+ years as my family is too scattered and my wife from Mexico where they don't celebrate it.

There are no Marie Callanders around so my options are limited.

There's always sweet potato pie - slightly different texture, but doable.

A whole pumpkin/sweet potato pie is NEVER too much when you've got real whipped cream. A dab of vanilla and a tiny bit of sugar -- not too much.

I appreciate it, but sweet potatoes don't work for me -- bad reaction when I was a kid.  Even so, I have the same portion issue:  I can't get just a slice of pie anywhere, except for cheesecake which isn't a "pie" in my book.

I've also had pies made of yellow-fleshed squash, like butternut, prepped like pumpkin. tastes a whole lot like pumpkin pie.  Maybe you could try that.  My  wife and the one kid living here aren't big pie lovers, they prefer even more sugar/chocolate-laden desserts, so I usually end up eating at least half of any pies I cook...not too difficult if I have a slice for my breakfast a few days in a row, and an odd snack on one on one or two days.  And yeah, I do make most of the pies that get baked in my house.

The worst evils which mankind has ever had to endure were inflicted by bad governments. The state can be and has often been in the course of history the main source of mischief and disaster.

I haven't made a pie from scratch (yes, I can bake pies and cheesecakes!) in 20-plus years.  I used Crisco then.

I just by pie shells and rolled crusts for the top.  I've made pastry shells from scratch (Using butter for the shortening), it just didn't taste enough better than the pre-made ones to make the effort worth it.

Well, I go the whole route if I'm gonna do fruit pies. Try to get fruit from the farmer's market, or someplace where the stuff tastes like fruit instead of cardboard. The fruit filling is pretty simple.

The crust is a bit of a PITA, but if you use ice water and don't wrestle with the dough like your average MMA fighter wrestles with his opponent, that's pretty simple too. Cleanup is the biggest hassle, IMHO.

Just don't ask me to bake that kinda stuff every day.

The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite.
