FERGUSON, Mo. (CBS St. Louis/AP) – Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson indicated that they are “pursuing” an investigation into whether comments made by Michael Brown’s stepfather the night Ferguson officer Darren Wilson was not indicted by a grand jury incited a riot.

Following the announcement of the grand jury’s decision Nov. 24, Louis Head was caught on camera yelling, “Burn this motherf***** down! Burn this bitch down!” Violent protests broke out following the decision, as dozens of buildings and businesses were looted and set fire.

Appearing on Fox News, Sean Hannity asked Jackson if Head’s comments helped incite a riot and were being pursued by law enforcement.

I say charge Louis Head. He clearly was inciting a riot in Ferguson.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A grand jury decision is expected to come soon, in the case of the police chokehold that killed Eric Garner on Staten Island this past summer.

Garner, a father of six from Staten Island, died in July after being placed in an apparent chokehold by Officer Daniel Pantaleo. Garner was being arrested for allegedly selling loose, untaxed cigarettes.

The grand jury began hearing evidence in the case Sept. 29.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The sounds of the holiday season were upstaged by chants for justice by protesters in Philadelphia Wednesday evening.

The protesters, angered by two separate Grand Jury decisions to not indict two white officers in the deaths of two unarmed black males — one in Ferguson, Missouri and another in New York — started by staging a “silent die-in” at 30th Street Station. The group laid silently on the ground.

Protesting Michael Brown and Eric Garner by disrupting Christmas tree lighting ceremonies. The children were not on the grand jury. Why disrupt it???????????

NEW YORK -- Protesters staged a "die in" Friday night in an Apple store on Fifth Avenue and in Macy's at Herald Square.

Hundreds of people angry over police treatment of African-American men crowded the street outside the Apple store, and some made their way through the store's large glass doors.

Once inside, the protesters stood in circles and chanted while store employees and customers silently snapped photos.

May I ask, did Apple and Macy's have anything to do with the grand jury? This is really getting out of hand.

College Students Hold 'Die-In' for Michael Brown, Complain of 'Sensationalism of the Protests'

Fairly recently, protesters came up with the idea of holding "die-ins" to protest perceived injustices throughout the world.

They were held frequently by opponents of the Iraq War and, these days, are a common tactic used by Anti-Israel groups.

At a die-in, participants simply lie on the ground and pretend to be dead.

This gets epic.

Some of the "dead" students couldn't help but check their cell phones during the event, which, if you ask me, kind of diminished the power of intended message.

Things were going great for these activists until I showed up and started questioning them about what they actually knew about the claims they were making about Michael Brown’s death and statistics about black Americans who are killed by police.
