Okay now, I'll try that in the morning and get back to you.

I'm in between computers--the old one crashed, and I made arrangements to buy a new one, picking it up around Thanksgiving.  At the moment, I'm using a jerry-built sort of thing, and so this "problem"'s gonna be gone in a couple of weeks.

HOWEVER, while using this disposable computer, I'm taking the opportunity to learn things.

I have run into the red x problem before too. I find that it goes away when I load the most current version of flash player.
