A West Point man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after he and a friend were attacked by a group of around 20 people in a Huddle House parking lot, police said, potentially as retaliation for Michael Brown's killing.

Ralph Weems IV, who is white, was injured early Saturday but is now in fair condition at North Mississippi Medical Center, hospital spokeswoman Genie Causey said.

A relative, Bradley Barnes of Madison, told The Associated Press by telephone on Sunday that his brother-in-law was in a medically induced coma following brain surgery.

They are doing this in the name of Michael Brown. This type of garbage will happen more often in light of Brown. This screams hate crime, which I am by no mean a fan of hate crime laws. Where is the outrage for this one????????????????

Poll: Race relations have plummeted since Obama took office

  According to the poll [pdf], 45 percent of whites and 58 percent African-Americans now believe race relations are very or fairly bad, compared with 2009, when  only 20 percent of whites and 30 percent of blacks held an unfavorable view. 

The poll was taken over a year ago so things are even worse.

It's clearly the result of the racist in chief who wanted a big turnout of black voters.
