Police in West Virginia had to respond to a bizarre incident on Tuesday morning when members of the public called in to say they had seen a naked man being walked on a leash by a woman in a purple nightgown.

The man was wearing a hood over his head, his ankles were bound  and Lt. Nelson Croft of the Sheriff's Office in Ohio County, West Virginia called it the 'Weirdest day ever. Yep, I hope it is the weirdest day ever.'

After a passing motorist took a picture and alerted police, officers began knocking on doors and eventually came to an apartment where a woman identified as Barbara Jean 'BJ' Geardello, 53 admitted it was her and boyfriend, Robert Deyell, 56, out for a walk.

I suspect they are DUmmies. I wonder what Barbara Jean Geardello's and Robert Deyell's DU name are.

I would like to defend the woman.

First off she cannot be charged with indecent exposure as she was fully covered by her  night gown.   

Why just pictures of her and not the male, is this some kind of sexist thing, blame the woman and ignore the male ?

How in his condition did they manage to hot foot it home before the cops got there ?   

Nothing was said about the condition of his knees, was he wearing knee pads ??Crawling about on a road surface without protection with ankles tied and a hood over the face, not good if he fell down onto the hot tar surface.

Traditions vary from place to place,  could be this was a common thing in the area they came from up North.   They may have  believed it safer to do their thing at 9:30 AM in the South then at 9:30 at night.  Some drunk could have run them down at night.
