It's too early to tell, but from the primitive responses encouraging the cousin, I wonder if perhaps they're telling her, "Hey, this is the sort of stuff we want from you, not any of your crappy 'analysis' or 'history.'"

     I'm on the fence. I don't think she's clever enough or has a well-developed sense of irony, but a broken clock with hands is right twice a day.

     Nads, mind you, is a digital clock. So I don't know what to make of it.

But it's worth watching, to see if that's the trend, the primitives hinting this is the sorts of stuff they want from the cousin.

On our side, of course it is; pictures of cats make more sense than anything the cousin writes.

Frankly, I think (based on talking to guys who know guys who knew him--it's still a pretty small world on the waterfront) he's as batshit crazy as she is.

Well GOBucks it seems to work for them.  You know the rules after 10 years you are ****ed.

No kids , has to be a benefit for his career , she my have worked or bullied her way to become President of the Chiefs club. As an insider I can tell you and anyone   out there the going on' s of the Subservice are totally different from the top siders.

Funny thing I encountered going on base, the very young marines stopped a car ahead of me and  told the female driving her bumper sticker was out of date.     Mother and I were right behind her bringing my dad his supper .

So we sat there watching things unfold, The woman got out of her car and began to rant  that her husband was Chief of the boat on a sub and  the old DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM.    Mom and I had tears of laughter , 

Another time in Vallejo , husband was an instructor at the nuke school.   on the side tutored his students
