Franks story reciently
« on: December 12, 2013, 10:30:12 AM »
Been reading Franks story and decided to check into my hero's Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan.

This will keep me occupied for a few days,   All the stuff I never knew about these remarkable people.

One link send me to a site that recounts the love affair of Helen and desire to marry and how the family interfered  and actually kidnapped her to prevent the marriage.  You tube has quite a few original films and news story's about Miss Keller.

However it is Anne Sullivan that interests me the most,   How on earth she brought a deaf and blind into the world, taught to read and, and speak boggles the mind.

True Helen had one thing in her favor, before she became ill she had 9+ months to get her brained wired for sound and visuals.

I remember my grandmother telling me she had gone to Boston at some time to a lecture Helen was giving and came home to tell me that God works in mysterious ways.

I bet Hellen Keller could spell better than you can.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

I will bet Helen Keller could do most things better the I.

She wrote books and lectured on human rights as she felt it.    Just the fact she can spell, she had a private  teacher 24/7 where as I had public schools.   Then she as blind and deaf could use an out house with ought soiling her clothing is amazing.

Something about today's education with the kids with a disability of any kind. Abuse and what ever. I went afield and found that there was horrors for the kids in the schools for the non hearing.

I cannot even delve into the abuse for kids that are blind,   Just reading of the Abuses that go on in the schools of the public schools up to High school .

Seems Franks parents were Wise to keep him at home rather then send him to a school for the deaf.   Smart and educated parents that knew what was what in these schools,  best to raise him as a normal child then as a child in an intuition.

Had he gone into a school, he would have had to learn sign language and never learned to speak.   Wonderful smart parents, these do not come along very often.

NOW ABOUT  about Annie Sullivan she was  an angel from God to take a child and turn her into a world wide wonder.
