Yeah.

Life's a lot easier, a damned lot easier, dealing with treacherous weather when there's few people around.

<<<knows.

The fewer people there are, the fewer idiots one's likely to have to deal with.

Precisely.  Considering the fact that our area has more idiots than not-most uninsured, I am not looking forward to the cross-town commute tomorrow.

Prayer up for safe travels.

Ya know... the reason I bought a 4x4 truck this year isn't because of the weather or bad roads.  I can work around them.  It's because I have to go to Denver several times a year and I want the protection of a truck.  A truck with a serious grill guard.  While there are many very nice people in the Denver/front range country, there are also many self-centered idiots who drive very carelessly.

It is the scuba divers on both coasts that see the changes in climate.

Dad was a Navy hard hat sub rescue diver [ASR's] and some time in the early 50's began to notice the changes in the reefs off the coast.     He was not alarmed, just curious of what was going on.

After he retired on 22 years he still kept up with the divers and tried to keep abreast of how the changes were coming about.  Years later when he retired from the ship yard [yes he was a double dipper] in charge of the Riggers and Divers, he would look at the very old coral that at the time was not off limits and he had brought home.   Things are changing very fast by the earths time clock.   This was about 1980 and he still was not worried, just curious.

Some time in 1990 he brought me out to the river bank and told me some time perhaps in my life time they would be planting orange groves in Maine.  He was still not worried, just curious.

Way it goes with these old salts of the sea, no worry, just adapt to what one could.   He had a Planck at one time that read ---OH LORD your Oceans are so big and my boat is so small-------

Well off to work, on this fine snowy day.
