Those who demand increases in the so-called minimum wage should not decry workers being replaced by technology or companies closing factories or relocating them abroad. The so-called minimum wage is what makes these changes financially attractive. The true minimum wage is the ZERO income of those, who after the so-called minimum wage is raised, cannot find employment at all.
I just toured a factory today where about half the steps of the line process were run by robots.
The plant manager said in hushed tones that eventually he would like to see all the stations replaced with robots.
