Michael Jackson's New Home?
« on: June 23, 2008, 09:42:56 PM »
The Wall Street Journal reports that Jacko the Wacko's new home is Pahrump, NV just sixty miles outside of Las Vegas, as Michael plans a Vegas come back.

I pulled down a few videos of his the other day on You Tube.

It started with a nostalgic desire to see Captain EO -- an attraction I really enjoyed.  Watching it reminded me of the incredible talent he had.  And, quite frankly, how good looking he was (guys can assess that without being gay).

Then I watched such great videos as "Beat It" "Billie Jean" "Thriller" -- and I was amazed again at just how great he was.

But time went on and he couldn't deal with how it wasn't possib;e for his brand of talent couldn't keep pace.  What he didn't realize is that music started to suck after the 80's and how he couldn't dumb his act down enough for the Gen Y and Millennials.

But that doesn't excuse his complete break with reality.  I urge everyone to watch the great videos he made -- he was Black then and there was no reason to change a thing.

Such a waste.  Had he not gone nuts, he probably could have spent some down time and then used his talents to help some new artist or group to really achieve great heights.

The "Crank-it-up-Contests" I entered had me playing "Dirty Diana" by Michael Jackson with about 2000 watts and Kickers from hell  in my GTA. He had a TON of talent, but he f'ed that ALL up. He became a walking mannequin.

Good looking or sexy? They are two different qualities.

I am sexy.  LU is good looking.

The contrast is obvious.

I have Thriller on CD. It's such a shame he went nuts. He was so talented.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Ya'know, Lyle is one of those faces that photograph a lot scarier than it is in person....like MacKenzie Phillips.  Lyle has gotten more normal looking with age, too.  So has MacKenzie, whose first name in Laura FYI.

I agree 100%v with your post. MJ has an incredible talent and I have liked most all of his music since "Rockin' Robin" from the 70's. The music he created in the 80's was fantastic and well worth the awards it received. As you said, music after the 80's did and still does mostly suck. Couple that with MJ going batshit nuts with the plastic surgery and little boy toys shit, he has relegated himself to the gutter with other self-destroyed entertainers.
I have a lot of his music from the 80's and still enjoy listening to it and watching the videos.
The man needs psychological help but unfortunately, his ego will not allow it.
