The entire Obama admin has been very quiet with this one event.
30 million people took to the streets, and the military turned against Morsi.

They must be very uneasy knowing that could happen here...and this time the protesters could be armed.
30 million people with guns. Not even low information voters could counter that.

I'm sleeping easier tonight. Nighty night, Mr President.

President Barack Obama urged Egypt’s military Wednesday to hand back control to a democratic, civilian government without delay, but stopped short of calling the ouster of President Mohammed Morsi a coup d’etat.

In a carefully worded statement, Obama said he was “deeply concerned” by the military’s move to topple Morsi’s government and suspend Egypt’s constitution. He said he was ordering the U.S. government to assess what the military’s actions meant for U.S. foreign aid to Egypt.

Damn right it's "carefully worded" because he's tapdancing in a minefield of his own making.

If it weren't my country I'd be gloating a lot more that this assclown was on the wrong side of the issue AGAIN.

Obama reminds me of a kid I knew in college who got 15 points taken off on a 10 point question.  When he asked the professor about it, the professor shook his head and said, "But you were so wrong."

Obama launches 'review' of aid to Egypt in wake of military coup
By Julian Pecquet    - 07/03/13 07:23 PM ET

President Obama late Wednesday declared himself “very concerned” by the Egyptian military's overthrow of the country's democratically elected president and said his administration was reviewing U.S. military aid as a result.

In his first statement since the Egyptian army and the opposition overthrew President Mohamed Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood government, Obama repeated that the United States was not taking sides in the dispute and avoided using the word “coup.” He called on the military to quickly restore power to a “democratically elected civilian government.”

“The United States is monitoring the very fluid situation in Egypt, and we believe that ultimately the future of Egypt can only be determined by the Egyptian people,” Obama said in a statement. “Nevertheless, we are deeply concerned by the decision of the Egyptian Armed Forces to remove President Morsy and suspend the Egyptian constitution.

“I now call on the Egyptian military to move quickly and responsibly to return full authority back to a democratically elected civilian government as soon as possible through an inclusive and transparent process, and to avoid any arbitrary arrests of President Morsy and his supporters. Given today’s developments, I have also directed the relevant departments and agencies to review the implications under U.S. law for our assistance to the Government of Egypt.”

Awwwww....he be "concerned," but he do nuttin' but cwy about it. His side LOST!

Then he definitely has the proper Secretary of State on the job.

Ambassador Ann Patterson is taking a beating. Without looking I would be willing to bet she is as wholly unqualified to occupy that post as the rest of the owebuma administration.

The owebuma administration is taking steps to ensure that no retaliation occurs to the previous regime. He is a menace to our domestic and foreign interests.

Bring back Mubarak. He brought stability to the country until the dumb sh!t in the W.H. and the Muslim Brotherhood decided to oust him. It was only a month or two before his departure that the Hildabeast was praising him as a good friend. We have idiots running our foreign policies.

If our military did that we'd be in a regime change after every election. Morsi is overall a poor step in the right direction. Mubarak brought stability sure, but Saddam also brought stability. If you're going to following the liberalist mindset of George Bush of spreading democracy then this coop is a good thing.
Now everything is up in the air, in two years we might be sipping martini's at a 4 star hotel in Gaza, or the nation could be in a military dictatorship. All that seems certain is that the United States needs to remain involved. We should be encouraging a secular government by mouth, but nothing further. Any more involvement stirs up that anti American sentiment.
But hey, if you had some relatives in Examplestan that were killed because of a predator drone, or more realistically, secular violence resulting from or lived in a region where Americans have a bad rap, sentiments could easily be pushed in a negative direction. **** Mubarak, Morsi, and the Muslim Brotherhood, I'm on the side of the Egyptian military. Least they are smart enough to take action when things are clearly shitty.

I have a better solution. Why don't we mind our own business, cease selling or giving them military weapons, cease foreign aid cause we can not afford it, and quit trying to be the policemen of the world. It is not working. We have spent around a trillion in wars in the M.E. and what do we have to show for it. The worst part is that we have lost thousand of brave Americans and tens of thousands of disabled VETS that will suffer for the rest of their lives. We will never change them cause they have been fighting each other for many years. Let's get out of all those shithole countries NOW. I would add just one more suggestion.....blow 'em all to hell on the way out.

That would work for me. Give the poppy fields a double dose of herbicides. Never could understand why the dummies in the W.H. have allowed the cultivation of this poison to destroy so many lives. Screw the people that grow it and the Taliban.
