I still think the big mistake was not hiring union labor.
At three times the cost.
I did the books for a construction contractor for 7 years. Actually it was two, a partnership. They were great, did quality work at fair prices. They missed out on a lot of local government jobs, because they didn't hire union employees.
It's disgusting what states and cities pay for construction when they can get the same, or better, from their local businessmen.
That's pretty much the same thing I found to be true when I moved my kids out of public school to private. About a third of the cost.
