1. I might do Chinese takeout

It's my usual holiday fare and I haven't done it since Xmas.

Then I'll itch and wheeze for three days because of the wheat in it.

But it's generally worth it.

2. I'm making the usual fare.

We're having ham, potato salad, cole slaw, kielbasi, paprika bacon, asparagus salad, deviled eggs and Easter pie all served cold. Dessert will be chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting for my daughter's birthday. Everything is done ahead so it doesn't matter what time my son and his family wander in. They're always late so cold stuff means less stress for me.

9. It's a savory pie.

My Italian m-i-l always made them and I continued the tradition. I mix specific quantities of fresh ricotta, tuma and grated Locatelli cheeses. Add cubed hard boiled eggs, ham, sausage and pepperoni and chopped fresh parsley. It's put into an egg based pie crust and baked for an hour or so. We eat it cold but some like to warm it up.

I love doing antipasto dinners when I know that guests will be arriving at different times. It's a great way to just hang out and eat over a long period of time.

3. Yes, dinner for 10

Glazed spiral ham, hash brown casserole (no peeling!), green bean casserole, roasted asparagus, coleslaw, rolls, cheesecake. The hitch is this time, after we eat, we are taking a hot meal to my folks at a nearby assisted living instead of bringing them here, since Mom is not "transportable" anymore. I like the idea of serving cold foods (above) but don't think my family would like it.

Ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, dinner rolls. I'm trying to keep it simple so I might add one or two more dishes.

5. I hadn't really though about it, so didn't get any supplies before we left the only place out here with a real grocery store.

I've got a decent looking filet in the freezer, so maybe something around that.

8. No crabs out here.

There are some lobsters, but they can't hold a candle to Maine lobsters.

Neither DH nor I are very good at or interested in fishing. I'm not a big fan of cooked fish. Occasionally someone brings something ultra fresh, and I will eat it raw. One problem is that my space is small and the smell after cooking fish just lingers and lingers.
 
So, the answer is pretty much no, but lots of people do around here.

Having my Dad and brother over. Keeping it simple. Fresh & smoked kielbasa, pumpernickel bread, asparagus, and poppy seed cake.

that is rather stupid looking, why red and white? It would look better with other colors.

Some of their meals sound good, some not so much, but none of them can bring themselves to call Easter anything but a "holiday".
