I wish we could ground Air Force one until a budget is passed. I imagine if we did that he would be on the horn with Harry Reid demanding a budget right away.

Why not? The AF is cancelling other missions for training, like a airborne op that was scheduled for today, citing "limitations on flight hours".

I'm sure our 1 C-130 for 5 hours wasn't going to break the bank...

Well looks like Obama shut down tours of the White House because of the sequester - he's sharing in the sacrafice.

Now Rep Olmert has decided to do his part and told Obama that they would no longer fund his trips to the golf course until he opened the tours back up.

 :lmao:

Now take away the helicopters to Camp David, the limos, Secret Service and confine his ass to the Whitehouse and we'll get some real compromise. Being couped up in the Whitehouse with Moochelle and the bitter maw-in-law will cause him to accept anything to get out of there.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

I got a recent mail advertisement for strawberry plants 99 cents a piece at Ace Hardware.   When I went to Ace this afternoon they didn't have any strawberry plants.  Clearly the sequester is responsible  :bird:

Speaking of Ace Hardware, the sequester is responsible for those asswipes who climb all over you the instant you walk in the store, yet can't be found 5 minutes later after you're done browsing and you need to find a specific stainless steel threaded bolt.

Maybe if they'd take their damned earpieces out of their ears, they'd be able to read the body language -- leave me the hell alone until I raise my eyebrows, then ask if you can be of service.

And why don't you have more of CR's strawberry plants by now? You're missing the point, you dweeb!  :loser:

I understand that the sequester was not the apocalypse that O promised it would be, and making fun of it highlights his obvious demagoguery. However, please keep in mind that some of us on this board ARE feeling the pain, from Army and Air Force training budgets getting slashed resulting in no Aircraft to jump out of, to Tuition Assistance being cut off COMPLETELY, to Crazy Horse getting furloughed (this is not meant to be all-inclusive, btw). Remember that the people who swore to uphold and defend the Constitution are being punished more than anyone else.

I drove 45 miles to work this morning in 6 inches of snow, and NONE of the roads had been plowed yet.

I blame the sequester for not letting Obama "makin it rain" on the town/state road budgets.

That is the reason why I think Barry wanted this. He wanted to hurt the military. I mock the sequester because I think we need some comic relief. In no way do I intend to make light of what is happening to the military. I am mocking his end of times predictions.

I set a mousetrap under the stairs 2 weeks ago. Baited it with peanut butter. Checked it this morning- the trap is sprung, the peanut butter is gone, and no mouse!

Damn that Obama and his sequester. He took my peanut butter and my dead mouse.

I think Barry actually believes his own lies. He's doing his very best to convince the media and the low information voter that the sequester was a Republican mandate, driven and hammered by an inflexible House headed up by people who, sob, want to destroy the sitting President of the United States.

So it goes beyond him wanting to destroy the military (though that very much would be a very nice side benefit).

It's kinda funny how we don't hear about the mandatory furloughs of the faceless, nameless bureaucrats within the EPA, HHS, FDA, IRS, ATFE, DOI, DOJ, HOR, FBI, and the rest of the alphabet soup. Damn the sequester!
