Personal opinion aside in the fact that I adore zappaman, so being objective, he was right to close the darn thread, nobody cares what goes on in San Diego when it comes to a local issue, if it has a nationwide impact then that's different.

How some people over there can coddle her is beyond me. IF shit ever hits the fan, they can be comforted by the fact that she'll be first on the hotline to report people she doesn't like.  She's now referring to  Zappaman and  other 'bullies' as non-persons in various threads.

One should follow the example of the adroit sparkling old dude when it comes to franksolich.

I think Nads is an idiot, for putting people who criticize her on ignore. She must be ultrasensitive, and she needs thicker skin. If I say something dumb, or out of line, I would want you all to call me out. We are adults, and we can agree to disagree.

You get the idea, but I wouldn't go quite that far.

The deal is, the list of casualties is long and dreary; fatalities caused by well-meaning but unthinking sob sisters who publicly praise a primitive.

I can recite examples going back as far as the Scamdal, the scam that rocked the internet during the spring of 2005, but I'm sure there's some with longer memories who can find examples from even before then.

For a decent and civilized person to publicly praise a primitive is the same thing as sending that hapless primitive to the chopping-block.

So again, cut it out, people.  We don't need more innocent blood on our hands.
