A Heartwarming Thanksgiving Thread

I'm sorry if this is a dupe, I didn't see it here.

What is the reason behind online social sites and people only wanting to hear everything is

a fantasyland?

I posted yesterday that I didn't have anything to be thankful for. A true statement.

I was showered with posts saying not to do things to "my day," and "only positive posts today." Some even told me I was too stupid to know if I have anything to be thankful for and they are so much smarter that they can better tell me what I am thankful for.

Are people just that selfish that they want to dictate what they see from everyone else?

A kind response:

I find the spoiled people are the ones who say offensive shit because they get a charge out of it or they are incapable of comprehending someone in america might actually be suffering, financially and other ways or they try to control what others think or post. Some cannot stand to look at how things ARE for others, maybe they are scared it would perturb their "beautiful mind" or sumpthin'.

And my life has been hell thank you very much..
And I think you have no ****ing clue about me
and you are oblivious to how life really is torment for some people,

Perhaps that's not the outcome you needed to make you happy this month?

I do find it odd that a poster who mocked Sandy victims for not being able to wait a month for power - those ungrateful, lazy, freeloaders - is now whining that nobody respects his self-****ing-pity.

If you have nothing to be thankful for, go volunteer at the local homeless shelter or veterans' home.

Yes, life can suck sometimes.  It can pelt you with an unending stream of lemons.  That said, if you're breathing, you have something to be thankful for.  If you drink clean water and have indoor plumbing, you have something to be thankful for.  If you know where your next meal will come from, you have something to be thankful for.  If you have anyone that cares about you enough to call you friend, or family to tolerate you, you have something to be thankful for.  I could go on...

Harbor Freight is having a sale on single edged razor blades (NMP items are the only thing to buy there) that I will gladly send not one, not two but five to any suicidal DUmmys. No cost. Out of the goodness of my heart and healing white light.

BTW, this is what socialism brings; an equal sharing of misery to all.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I suspect that we'll go several more months without hearing from the panther, wondering what happened to it.

These DUmmies are wimps.  I had a thanksgiving meal that amounted to a ham sandwich and a bag of chips one year.  I still found that I had an awful lot to be thankful for.

I honestly wish I had the power to ship whining brats like RB texla and UGP off to some country in Sub-saharan Africa to live among the natives for one year.  I bet they would kiss the ground when they got back to America and be forever thnkful for what they do have.
