Shopping on Black Friday is nice (and normal, like any other day...) once it's 3pm and on. By that point, the Black Friday shoppers are worn out from standing in a line and shopping since 8pm or sooner on Thanksgiving. When I worked part time at Macy's, I had the 3pm-11pm shift and it was DEAD the entire night. Loved it. We are heading out to Target around 3 or 3:30pm to get some Christmas lights. Target keeps their registers well staffed (unlike Walmart) and the lines move fast. Day after Christmas though.. I agree with you. It's better to wait until the New Year.
One year walmart decided to experiment with a open 24 hour deal... I got off work at 2 am and it was snowing out and not one car in the parking lot. I walked in and there were two woman manning the checkout lines.
Problem was I had left my glasses in the car and needed help. I gave my list to one of the woman and she went off hunting down my items as I talked to the other cashier, my personal shopper came back in about 30 minutes with everything on my list. This is the Walmart Sea works at before it became a super store.
Say this is great, saved me 3-4 hours trying to find things and as the workers knew every inch of the store also knew where the sale items were.
Just a one time experiment so the next year I had to do this all myself, RATS.
