Sounds good but about as useless as the petition to recall Sen Mary Landrieu of LA. We certainly are self sufficient when it comes to energy and food.
Good idea go back to the Napoleonic laws, woman who are married have no right to their children or any inheritance left to her.
Once married the woman is at the will of their husband. Parent dies and leaves them property, husband can sell it with out wife's knowledge, Oh Joy ,husband decides to throw her out and move in a misstress the wife can no longer see her children.
Yup sounds like an interesting plan in 2012, some how I do not think this idea will work.
