I thought it didn't go into full effect until 2016.  Wasn't that the complaint about the numbers, where they said that they collect on it for two years first?

Well since we had to pass it to find out what is in it, it is confusing.

I seem to recall that parts of it started right away, parts start this year and full implementation is 2016. I could be wrong though, but I seem to recall it being that way.

Yep - and I'm not sure now they can afford not to drop the coverage.  The options are pretty clear...

1.  Keep providing coverage, including contraception, and completely compromise one of the core teachings of the Church

2.  Provide coverage but don't include contraception, and pay an annual fine of $73,000/employee

3.  Drop coverage completely and pay an annual fine of $2000/employee

If they drop the insurance and have over 50 employees, I believe the fine is $3000.  

that's what a lot of companies are toying with right now.  Many think that even the $3k is cheaper than the insurance.

Many of the taxes went into effect earlier and lots of freebies went to effect which is why premiums have been skyrocketing. I think all the taxes/penalties go into effect in 2013. Could be wrong about the personal tax/penalty. The final rift of freebies much higher premiums, and regulations kick in 2014.

Best guess now is that Obama taxcare will cost $2.1 trillion over the next ten years. $210 billion per year to insure the 15 million that were not insured. Still will be 30 million uninsured.

If this country continues  to allow people to take and take and keeps over taxing the rest then be prepared for the consequences when the economy crashes and the real fun begins. Those of us that have seen it coming will probably make it but, I have it on good authority that the rest of you blood sucking ticks on the left are pretty much ****ed.

I can tell you right now that's where a lot of LARGE companies are going.  Like mine.

And guess what--they ain't gonna give any sort of compensation to the employees to go find their own plan on the open market.
