I thought it was a good move - won't mean anything - but it gets attention because he made the first move.  All barack can do is brush it aside, no way dims are going to lower any tax rates.

I tend to agree with RightCoast's assessment on this one but I can also see Thundley being correct which is a sad indictment of our Republican leadership.

Boehner could have stopped funding ObamaCare but he wanted a political mace and now we all see how that has worked out.

Instead of calculating the next election I wish our elected representatives would put their country and constituents first.

It's easy to judge Boehner from his past actions of appeasement.  That is why I think he will roll over unless conservatives hold his feet to the fire.

We need patriots that want what is best for the country, not politicians that want what is best for themselves.

There has been relatively decent legislation come from the house,it's just been pronounced DOA in the Senate.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

He is going to roll over and ask how high when 0bama tells him to jump.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

And provide the KY when Barry sticks it up his ass again.

Then again, Boehner might be too busy crying and just want to have it sans KY.  :whatever:

Rush said this A.M. that the Republicans should just vote present (like Barry did) and get out of their way.

At this point, what are his choices, realistically?

He can resign and let someone with a spine take over the position.

Silly, really.  A majority of the GOP Reps would have to vote in his successor, and they're not going to pick some one-term firebrand and see themselves blamed in the press every day for Dear Leader's failures since the MSM will brand it as 'All their fault' for being bitter-enders if they refuse to make any accommodation with him after the party got its ass kicked by the Santa Claus Party.

So they admit their lack of true convictions and leave things as they are.

Good plan.

Rush has been borrowing my thoughts all week.
