1. why does rachel keep bringing him on her show?

i can't stand him either. and it's not as if he's bringing anything other than his long experience as a journalist as far as i can see, he just goes on her show and spews crap.

3. I saw him shilling for scumney on the Rachel Maddow show a week ago

I certainly never thought he was a true rethug.

6. i saw the old man (i think that is relevant) on maddow twice. both times he oddly parroted her.

she was asking a question, for his opinion, and he could not give his own, but on both shows just repeated whatever she said.

i thought it odd then.

that might be what he was doing with scars, if they were looking for hope with romney.

after seeing those two interviews with maddow, i think he is in a certain place, due to age.

7. Once a fool, always a fool.

Rather is not very smart. Worse yet is the fact that he is gutless.. Only a gutless dumbass could have been exposed by Poppy Bush on national tv.

13. dan rather is mr. doom and gloom.

he's mr debby downer every time he's on Rachel.

I can't listen to the guy. He sounds like he's going to slit his wrists every time he give his two cents.

I respect Rather, but his time has come and gone (sadly), the whole report on morons* sketchy service record took a massive toll on him. We know he was correct but the powers that be squashed him.

Now he tries to come across as the "reasonable" voice and just comes of instead like a gigantic wet blanket.

14. He is wrong

it wont even be close I bet.
Stupid thing for him to say.

Bet you are the one who is wrong and both you and Rather are fools.

The best for last though.

11. Rather was for George Bush

because he thought it was the right thing to do to stand by yer man in times of great grief, as 911 was.

He stood by his man and didn't say squat much about the illegal invasion of Iraq. He probably changed his tune now about the Iraq war, like so many do hoping we don't remember.

**** Dan Rather - he's no reporter/journalist/whatever, he's just one of the clowns. I don't think Rachel knows that yet and still sees him as some kind of freedom fightin' great newsman. She likes to smooze him for that reason.

I find it funny that the primitives, and many libs, believe the MSM is right-wing and supports Republicans.  You gotta be kidding me.  I'd love to have one of those quacks try to tell me face-to-face that Dan Rather, Diane Sawyer, Scott Pelley, Brian Williams, etc... voted for Mitt Romney or George W. Bush or George H. W. Bush, or Ronald Reagan...  To laugh in their faces would be epic.

Wait, is this the same Dan Rather that you DUmmies knob-gobbled when he came out with the fake-but-accurate Bush NG memos?

Damn, I can't keep up with you idiots. You change your views more than I change my boxers.

One and the same.  This is why I could never be friends with a liberal.  Fair weather friends who will stab you in the back without a moments thought.  It's happened to me.  Never will again.

My favorite moment in election 2004 was when every other network had called Ohio (for Obama and Obama voters that's Ohoi) and the national race for bus, CBS finally did about an hour later. I thought Rather was going to cry as he announced Bush the winner. His voice cracked and his eyes got all watery. It was a beautiful sight. This year I guess it will be Chris Matthews mental breakdown to be remembered.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Once again, I can only wonder what color the sky is on their world, or if we even have a word for it.

The color of the sky is 12 in their world.

The color of their sky is 4.  2 + 2 = Blue  >>>>  The color of the sky is 4.
