It's the fact that they had the temerity to complain to the MSM about the response, just a few days before the election, that has the DUmmies in a snit. That's been the decree at DU for the last few months: No complaining about Dear Leader until he is re-elected. Until then you must suffer in dignified silence for the greater good. Once he is ensconced for another four years you may continue wheedling for your pony, and he may turn His Great Grinning Visage upon you and cast a few crumbs your way.
