Uh . . . . . this "Iran/US Talks" thing . . . . October surprise?

So the final debate is Monday. Just the day after tomorrow. Not much time.

The news about this broke today. The White House gave it a denial that sounded more like proforma state department word construction than an actual denial. The Sunday talk shows will be on this like stink on shit. As they always have repubicans on, you know they'll be saying how wrong this is.

Meanwhile, Mitch is down in Florida cramming for a test on a subject he knows jack shit about - foreign policy. For all his learned bravado, he's gotta be shitting his pantz.

And now this. THIS. How does he even begin to debate what neither he nor Obi Wan Portman nor his campaign strategist, young Mig or Tig or Plasma, or whatever his spawn's name is, have a clue about?

Does he go for the bluster and try to bullshit his way through it? Does he make up some alternate line of Romnepolicy and try to evade this Iran thing entirely?

Meanwhile, imagine Obama. He can sit there and avoid stuff. He can smile, just a little, and wink at Mutt. He can make Mutt crazy. Make him angry. Make his lose his shit.

At the end of it, we'll have Obama being In-The-Know Mr. President. And Mitch, like some Little Rascals kid, trying to jump up to see the ballgame through some knothole in the outfield fence.

Go Mitch!

Hahahahahahaha

1. Mitch will say...Iran caved because of his tough stand on the issue..... I bet they spin

It that way...if at all. Imo

"Mitch."

2. Denial because there's only an agreement "in principle" at this point.

No official meetings have been agreed to.

3. I thought it was interesting this came out today. Apparently those tough sanctions are working.

4. Don't worry about Mittz.

If he shitz his pants, he's got somebody working (for minimum wage) to clean up and change him, and the product keeps that certain grin on his face.

Ho-hum.

Ho-hum is right.

The only "shitz in their pants" is going to be in the ones of the sparkling dud when Romney wins the election.

... you mean the EU has been vindicated?   Decades of "tough sanctions" and tersely written letters have FINALLY paid off?  lucky, lucky day!!

The Messiah should send Biden to meet with them.

There is still a chance the initiative could fall through, even if Mr. Obama is re-elected. Iran has a history of using the promise of diplomacy to ease international pressure on it. In this case, American officials said they were uncertain whether Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had signed off on the effort. The American understandings have been reached with senior Iranian officials who report to him, an administration official said.

Even if the two sides sit down, American officials worry that Iran could prolong the negotiations to try to forestall military action and enable it to complete critical elements of its nuclear program, particularly at underground sites. Some American officials would like to limit the talks to Iran’s nuclear program, one official said, while Iran has indicated that it wants to broaden the agenda to include Syria, Bahrain and other issues that have bedeviled relations between Iran and the United States since the American hostage crisis in 1979.

I have a question about Iran.

Why haven't their underground facilities been hit with a nuke "bunker buster" yet, if for no other reason, so Japan no longer has the claim of being the only country (to date) to be nuked?

It worked in 1945, why not today?
