Maybe it's just me?
(I tend to reach outrage mode fairly easily nowadays)
Well, I was watching this new series today (The Mentalist) which was enjoyable up until my outrage limit came into play!
Two detectives were investigating the murder of a male doctor.
The doctors spouse is another doctor.
These two detectives walk into a hospital, walk up to this male doctor (dead doctor's spouse) and ask: "When's the last time you saw your husband"!!
(No smirky like smile. No ugh like factor. NO .. "You Make Me Sick" expression. Nothing!)
They ask the question as if it's the most natural t/normal thing in the world!
Off, forever went the show!
Some questions:
Am I becoming my father?
Does my outrage point need raising?
Do I qualify as a homophobe?
Neanderthal?
Sexist?
What?
These are rhetorical questions because, of course .. I am all of these things!
Well what do you expect, a loved one is dead, be it a same sex partner. When you love and care for another , be it a life long bowling buddy or two woman that grew up together the loss of a friend or a lover, to believe the ones that loved the diseased, should be put down by insults for their love of the diseased is kind of wicked.
When a beloved one dies it is traumatic to the survivors, their coworkers, neighbors family [ as in the story a Doctor all the patients he had saved their lives ]
What --If your house catches fire do you refuse to allow gay people put the fire out ?????? Me in this case I do not care if a transsexual comes to in to pull me out a window and carry me to safety.
When a tragedy happens that effects the people closest to the victim one does not smirk or laugh at the victim.
One does not act like the victim deserved this or their life does not matter.
In answer to your question, Yes you are a hormophobe--question is why ???? What do these people do to you ??
You wonder if you are becoming your father, well have you any idea of why your father is this way ????? What happend to your father to cause him to pass his hate or fear on to his children ?
You show rage toward a TV program where human decency in the face of death is shown. A respect for the dead and the survivors.
YOU SIR need to take sometime to become acquainted with the idea of compassion and care of others. BTW I have been watching a few story's about people that become enraged as you have.
Now you scare the shit out of me.
