A high school guidance counselor's past as a racy lingerie model has come back to haunt her after she was fired over photos that were taken 17 years ago.Tiffany Webb, 37, was a respected educator in New York City public schools for 12 years before she lost her job last December.A principal at Murry Bergtraum High School for Business Careers in Manhattan recommended she be fired after a student showed her photos of Ms Webb that he had found online.Ms Webb admitted that she posed for risque lingerie photos when she worked as a model between ages 18 and 20.
Should she have been fired?
That's just stupid. She was working an honest, legal job.KC
But she was empowering herself letting her female voice be heard...
Somebody must've heard that she was voting for Romney. It's the only way she'd be out of a job this fast, and the 17 year old photos are just the (weak) justification.Sue the pants off of 'em, ma'am!
In a union. In a liberal city.
They accuse us of being the Puritans then they fire her for some sexy pics when she was barely an adult. Now if she screwing her students she would still have a job. Ugh I have a headache now.

Webb — who has changed her name and taken a teaching job in New Jersey — is now suing the DOE in Brooklyn Supreme Court, charging wrongful termination, sex discrimination and violation of First Amendment rights. She seeks reinstatement, back pay and punitive damages..............Her lawyer, employment specialist Stewart Karlin, said all Webb’s photos on the Internet are unauthorized and altered, some showing her face with a different body.“She had no control over it,†said Karlin, calling her termination “unconscionable.â€
Webb disclosed her former career when first hired. Yet she was investigated by the DOE three times — and twice spent a year in the “rubber room†— while officials probed the photos. Each time, she was cleared to return to work with students. She received nothing but satisfactory ratings, and was respected at Murry Bergtraum, where she juggled a caseload of 540 students. But the ax fell after ex-principal Andrea Lewis claimed that a student showed he photos of a scantily clad Webb. Last Dec. 23, days before Webb was to get tenure as an $84,200-a-year guidance counselor, she was dismissed for “conduct unbecoming†a DOE employee. The inappropriate photos were accessible to impressionable adolescents, a three-member chancellor’s committee ruled by 2-1. That behavior has a potentially adverse influence on her ability to counsel students and be regarded as a role model. The dissenting member argued, “Her professional work as a guidance counselor has been outstanding, and she should not be punished for something that happened years ago.Webb — who has changed her name and taken a teaching job in New Jersey — is now suing the DOE in Brooklyn Supreme Court, charging wrongful termination, sex discrimination and violation of First Amendment rights. I bet she slept with someone's husband or something. There is NO WAY she got fired for nonnude pictures! There has to be much more to this story.
She gets fired but drug users and child abusers are sent to the rubber room until they retire. Liberal logic combined with union power.
