I usually don't let an artist's political belief keep me from listening to them. I don't recall Steve Earle ever stating his political beliefs. That is a good thing, because I go to a show to listen to an artist perform - I want to listen to the music, not listen to them tell my who to support or vote for. The second they started to do that, I would get up and walk out. Musicians should play music and shut up, and actors should play in the movies and shut up. It is a good thing I am a strong believer in the Freedom Of Speech, other wise, there would be a lot of music I wouldn't be listening to; and a lot of of movies I wouldn't be watching.

I never knew Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were liberals till I read this post. That tells me that they don't post it. I did see an interview with Toby saying that he was a democrat but switched to Republican. He was stating that the only reason he was a democrat was because his father was; and all the things that went on with the Gulf war turned him republican. He also said that he will never be voting Democrat again.

Your first sentence is my feeling towards Bruce Springsteen.  The First Amendment doesn't prohibit him from sounding like a flaming moonbat, and he takes full advantage of that.

Ray Stevens is a country singer. Name a country singer, besides the Dixie Chicks, who are liberal moonbats? If there are any, they won't come out and say it because their sales would tank. The Country fans are majorly overwhelmingly conservative. You would think that with the DUmmies being so smart, he would have known that by now.

It is the same with Nascar. They are majority Republican/Conservative as well..

Toby Keith is 100% Dem.  So are Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

I never can figure that out about Toby Keith.  Everything that comes out of his mouth is conservative but he makes no bones about being a Democrat.  While I know there are some conservative Democrats ... they are few and far between and most end up leaving the party (Zell Miller).

Toby is a registered independent. He supports the USA. He has grown up

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are quiet Democrats with distinct high profile political ambitions for high office in Tennessee.

Sugarland are liberals.

Taylor Swift is a huge democrat.

Willie Nelson is a registered independent playing the Republican National Convention this week in Tampa.

Garth Brooks is also a registered independent.

I was basing what I said off of his Playboy interview where he said he was a life long Democrat.

Guess he's grown up since 2005.  Good for him.

Longtime Democrat Toby Keith is registering to vote as an independent and says the left wing's verbal attacks against Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin could lead to a win for John McCain in November, the singer-songwriter said Thursday (Oct. 2) in an interview with CMT.com.

Sugarland are liberals.

Taylor Swift is a huge democrat.

Where did you hear that? I always thought she was conservative.
But then again she is the same age of Mao's target base, so that's a given.

Would have figured Sugarland were liberals, their conduct after the stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair showed it. They were essentially blaming the concert attendees for what happened so I heard.

Ah, a source:

Quote
Sugarland also said that the plaintiff's claims were caused by "an open and obvious danger," adding that some or all of the plaintiff's injuries "resulted from their own fault."

Nadin the Gnome of course ,when she feels like sharing the really crunchy news after crossing the rubicon and the streams and connecting dots and all that.  Still this isn't the first time a loony moonbat has done this. TiT was always bragging about how he could spot a freeper in his little china shop and how he would do al kind of nasty things to get them to leave.

Well, DUmpmonkey Journonumbers was easily identified as a moonbat named Rich Jorn.

His boss, who he claims is as nutty a moonbat as himself, is a woman named Janie Oldfield.

I believe the wallduding information was forwarded to the Effingham newspaper.

I don't know if the board is aware that bookings are made on the basis of politics rather than the potential to sell tickets and make money for the performance center.

Since the board is made up of civic leaders from a strong Republican area, they'd probably be upset if they knew Ms. Oldfield and Mr. Jorn try to avoid booking any act that might lean toward the conservative side of the political spectrum.

Excellent! I hope your admirable efforts bear fruit.

Toby Keith is 100% Dem.  So are Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

From Wikipedia:

Quote
Political beliefs

Since 2002, Keith has made numerous trips to the Middle East to bring entertainment and encouragement to US men and women serving on or near the front lines. “My father was a soldier. He taught his kids to respect veterans,” said Keith. “It’s that respect and the thank-you that we have a military that’s in place and ready to defend our nation; our freedom.”

In 2004, Keith called himself "a conservative Democrat who is sometimes embarrassed for his party". He endorsed the re-election of President George W. Bush in the 2004 presidential election and performed at a Dallas, Texas, rally on the night before the election. Keith also endorsed Democrat Dan Boren in his successful run in Oklahoma's 2nd congressional district and is good friends with former Democratic New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson. In a January 2007 interview with Newsday, Keith was asked whether he supported the Iraq War. He responded with "Never did," and said he favors setting a time limit on the campaign. He also said, "I don't apologize for being patriotic... If there is something socially incorrect about being patriotic and supporting your troops, then they can kiss my ass on that, because I'm not going to budge on that at all. And that has nothing to do with politics. Politics is what's killing America."
Keith performs for the troops at the O'Callahan's Cantina at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, on May 31, 2006.

In April 2008, Keith said that Barack Obama "looks like a great speaker and a great leader. And I think you can learn on your feet in there, so I don't hold people responsible for not having a whole bunch of political background in the House and Senate." At the same time he remarked, "I think [John] McCain is a great option too." In August 2008, he called Obama "the best Democratic candidate we've had since Bill Clinton".

In October 2008, Keith told CMT that he had left the Democratic Party and has re-registered as an independent. "My party that I've been affiliated with all these years doesn't stand for anything that I stand for anymore," he says. "They've lost any sensibility that they had, and they've allowed all the kooks in. So I'm going independent." He also told CMT that he would likely vote for the Republican ticket, partially because of his admiration for Sarah Palin.

In March 2009, Keith received the Johnny "Mike" Spann Memorial Semper Fidelis Award during a New York ceremony held by the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation. The trophy is named for the CIA operative (and former Marine Corps captain) who was the first U.S. casualty in the war in Afghanistan. "Spending time with our soldiers around the world is something I've always regarded as a privilege and honor," he said. "I'm certainly happy to accept this award, but I won't forget for a second who's really doing the heavy lifting to keep this country safe. And that's why I'll keep going back and spending time with those good folks every chance I get."

In April 2009, he voiced support for Obama on Afghanistan and other decisions: "He hired one of my best friends who I think should run for president someday...Gen. James Jones as a national security adviser. He's sending troops into Afghanistan, help is on the way there. And I'm seeing some really good middle range stuff. I'm giving our commander in chief a chance before I start grabbing. So far, I'm cool with it."
