Back in the boy scouts we cooked a pizza over an open fire one time. Shit was good too!! Crust was a little hard... just gotta watch the heat. We also put one in a dutch oven one time, threw some coals in the ground and put it in there and some hours later we had pan pizza! This was waaay before pan pizza come out around here. We are talking early to mid 70's here. Up to that time the only place to get a pizza around here was Lorobis. They are still in business to. Expensive, but pizza hut, dominos, etc can't touch it. It was right across from the weigh station on 60. DD will know about it. It is still in the same place too. Closest one to what they cook that I had was Momma Larossa at Kings Island 30 years ago.
First pan pizza I ever had mom made. The oven broke, dad was out of town, so she put it in a skillet and cooked it on the stove over low heat. Up to that time we had the chef boyardee thin crust. Shit was good too! That was how we ended up doing it in the boy scouts cause I told everyone in the troop about it.
I love me some pizza!!!! Dayum... now I am gonna have to get me a Lorobis pizza tomorrow.
