The best wat to cook brussels sprouts is almost the same way you cook carp.

Place the brussels sprouts on a pine board, cover with melted cheese, add salt and pepper to taste, sprinkle with brown sugar and stick in some cloves. Bake for 1 hour at 500 degrees, scrape burnt black stuff off the board and eat the board.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

I think it is time for the MILF to step in here. My perfectly good "look at the stupid occupoopers" thread has been hijacked by the Sproutistas.  Every one knows that the only thing worse than a Paulistinian Is a Sproutista.

Hey, I've met Celtic Rose. I'd eat Brussels sprouts off of with her any day of the week...

And twice on Sundays.

Sproutistas - I think they're an offshoot (no pun intended) of al Qaeda.

Well, well Johnny, tell us how to cook an artichoke, or Poke Salad, Craw Dads or Okra. Don't forget to warn us about cooking Cat Fish and the chance of getting a needle bone in the roof of the mouth.

I can tell you to never eat the brain of a Lobster but folks from Thailand do eat their eyes with no problem.

I can tell you how to keep Okra from becoming slimy, something I found out and passed on to the Southerners that surprised them.

Only lately that Yankees are growing Collards, and Mustard greens, I tried out Turnip greens and fell in love with them.   Few up here cook radish greens, I did and none of the kids believed  me as it was as good as spinach.

I hold the line with Sushi and sea weed, lots of people will eat raw fish, or living Oysters, I except for steak want my food cooked, steak Med rare.

Never know when a cook --a good one--- can make Rock Soup a favorite with you.

So now, how does one eat a Craw Dad, like a lobster,  do you eat the shell ????

Vesta, I'm sure they appreciate your suggestions.  However since their cookbook fiasco has already failed, perhaps you could shop your crappy recipes over at the Pow Wow Cookbook.

Excuse me Mr. Dog, were you never a hungry 12 year old that would make a Dagwood Sandwitch from time to time. ?

These are not MY Crappy Recipes, this is what my boys as kids who would grow an inch or two in the summer fixed for themselves.  Cast Iron Stomaches on growing boys,  surprising as I never had brothers to watch the stuff young boys would eat.   Mustard on Water Mellon, or the Elvis Sandwitch,--   a grillled cheese with peanut butter, Bacon, banana and dill pickles.    No jelly, so some ate Ketchup sandwitches.

There is not one vegetable or fruit my kids will not eat today including the Indonesia Stinky Fruit.  Takes some time to get use to eating something that smells like dirty socks, but like Mushrooms it becomes addicting.

Pickled Herring , Salt Cod, Frogs Legs, Haggis or Escargot is a adventure we have never taken.

Had 'em all except Salt Cod, one time or another. I wouldn't turn any of them away!

You pinch their tails and suck their heads. They're lucky that way..

I prefer to crack the shell and eat the tail.
