Cool!  Haute couture fascinates me.  In a past life (at least seems that way) I did window displays for some shops in the Birmingham, MI area and seasonal displays with a crew at area malls.

One of the buyers for a few shops always kept me up to speed on these shows.  I rarely deviate from the jeans and boots thing, but I love seeing high end fashion.

Love the pinks you showed on your post.

Where? Where? All I see is a lotta leg.

Those dresses are so much more beautiful then most of the junk you see coming down the runway.

Me neither!  But I did get to wear a couple for charity fashion shows that my mom and aunts volunteered me for.  Saks supplied a few each year.  The wardrobe lady's blood pressure must have been over 200.  The dresses were supposedly in the $5K range back in the 70s.  And jewelry.  *sigh*

Oh, man.  I swear you just feel different wearing all that.  Definitely different that jeans and boots, anyway.

Top left hand is my favorite.  And yeah, I don't like those space shoes.

To all the menz who say these are ugly dresses, you don't know what you're talking about.  Some high fashion is indeed hideous and ridiculous, but these are beautiful.  You would definitely need drop-dead legs to carry them off.

I didn't say they were ugly, just that I prefer jeans and a T-shirt for the summer.

Agreed, they are all very feminine. The crappy thing about a lot of high fashion is they only put one piece on a model and then a bunch of 'effects' out with the one piece. It's hard to gauge the beauty or quality of what the model is actually wearing since they are so big on the 'show'. I've always called high fashion 'performance art'.  :rotf:

What Gina put up is the more normal stuff where you concentrate on the clothing more then the showmanship.

Yeah, Thundley didn't mention if he did actually have drop-dead legs to wear a getup like that.  Wonder how Chris's Veras would look with these?
