Write another C-rap song (about this latest outrage) and donate the proceeds, or just one concert by Diddy at UCLA will more than cover the amount.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

If he earned it he earned it. My son got several scholarships (all merit based). He worked for them he deserved them.

That's exactly how I feel. If you work hard enough for something you should get it. That's like saying he shouldn't accept a bonus or a raise at work because his daddy is rich.

I am sure there are just as many children of professional athletes who secure the same type of athletic scholarships for college.    He is an adult now, and if he can get a full boat by playing sports for the college/university then Godspeed and Congrats.    Good for him.

It's a football scholarship. He can't just "give it back", because the NCAA regulates those. If he doesn't accept it, it might just go away, it's not like you can transfer that to any other student.

The college has x-amount of slots, this student didn't take that slot it certainly can be given to another student.

If he earned it, he earned it.

It doesn't matter if he actually needs it.

ITA!

Because his Dad is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, why should he even qualify for a scholarship? I take care of my Mom, she's eligible for benefits up the wazoo including food stamps, but I take care of her because I can, we're not rich at all, if anything in my State we're considered lower middle class, but I won't dare take from someone who's truly needy and doesn't have family helping them like my Mom does.

If he met each requirement set forth by the scholarship provider then why should money that isn't even his come into play?  He got it fair and square.  Sour grapes.

As an individualist, I'm going to say that if the kid earned it, it's his.  He is his own person. I don't know him, but maybe he wants to point to his own accomplishments in life, rather than always being under the umbrella of his father.

That said, the right thing to do would be for Combs to turn around and set up a scholarship program.

I can't point out any off hand but Combs is one of the few Rich celebrity types that has set up numerous endowments , Scholarships , after school programs and the such.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.
