Saturday afternoon yardsale check in for 5/5/12
9 sales this morning. Nothing much until the very end - a cache of new teacher's edition textbooks - 7 of them - worth $30 - $70 a piece on Amazon. $.50 each. One sold within one hour of posting. Nice!

1. Wow . . . great buy! This was church sale weekend for me.
I went to one last night and another today. Unfortunately, the crowd at the first one was so dense you couldn't get near anything (although I did find a Royal Crown Derby bird paperweight for $3) and the second one just sucked. Have you ever had one of those days when you search for something . . . anything . . . that will at least cover the cost of gas to get there? Maybe next weekend the Picasso will appear.

2. yeah, I've become obsessed lately with expenses vs. profit
I buy extra gas on weekends, along with extra food (for me and my little girl who is becoming quite the haggler.) So I always have this "I have to sell this much to recoup my expenses" mentality going on.
