65. Well I find it an amazing coincidence
By the way what happened is I pointed out I did not care for such things like the Correspondents dinner. I posted the same thing when little boots was president, but pointing this out under a Republican is fine, but not with a Democrat. I guess a mirror of this would have happened at our mirror site, with a zott of course. It led to a small nuclear war... apparently I should LOOOVVVVEEEEE the dress... nice dress, well outside the buying capacity of most families. And I should love the jokes, the whole thing is not good for democracy with a small d of course.
 
But to some VE SHALL NOT BE CRITICAL OF THE LEADER... problem is I don't elect leaders... don't know about you.
 
I expect the usual ones to answer this as well... but since now they are on ignore... have at it.

And the best part is that photo had a major no-no... from an editorial perspective, which makes me wonder about the series in the SD card.

She really does go overboard sometimes, and I never heard of being able to delete posts after a certain amount of time has elapsed.

In the new DU there is no time limit for deleting posts if memory serves correctly.  This has led to a number of H&M whines and footstomps about people doing exactly what Nadin did for exactly the reason she did.

If the original poster deletes that post, the thread locks automatically, and then sends them into a tizzy of impotent rage, kind of like ants after the anthill has been kicked over.  Only less productive.

Nads is a diabetic?   Did anyone know that?

Cannot recall the entire conversation, but in a 'weight loss' thread she rejected the concept of calories in > calories out = weight gain, and exercise had virtually nothing to do with being, well, large.

It is all due to the body's "set point" according to Nads in that discussion), where the body somehow knows what weight it wants to be, and there is little the occupant of that body can do about it.

Nads was advised that walking into the kitchen to retrieve more snacks does not count as exercise, and will not assist in weight loss goals.

Suffice it to say my former identity suffered one of many 'iggies'.  Also cannot recall if that was the first one, but it certainly was not the last.

Adding this:  Gluten issues were brought up, but do not remember diabetic issues being in the mix.

97. The fact that the poster has on occasion, claimed to be a "journalist" really bothers me.

This same poster posted a very incendiary article re: our involvement behind Syrian lines, and when some very astute DU'ers went to work to get to the root of the story, it was discovered that the story was created out of wholecloth from a facebook posting, which turned out to be false on every count. And after receiving a ton of replies, did the poster apologize? NO! She "self-deleted", after getting her a** handed to her on a platter, thereby shutting down the discussion. It's dishonest at best, and inciteful at the very worst. And she never has to apologize for getting caught making shit up.
 
A "journalist" stands by their story, or they issue a retraction. Self-delete does away with the need to be held accountable, and that's just sad.

No, but it doesn't surprise me.

Again, I have to point out this is the tragedy of nadin, her stunted, out-of-proportion growth and all that, which reminds me of what I saw in the socialist paradises of the workers and peasants.

Generally, those of eastern European derivation who emigrated to the United States, over two or three generations grew up healthier and larger, due to the fruits of liberty and a free-market system, which allowed them to flourish and prosper.

Those who stayed behind, enduring the wars and famines and persecutions of socialism didn't fare so well, growing and developing only little better than their long-ago medieval ancestors; hunchbacks, dwarves, giants, the cripples, the deformed, the grotesque, the curiosities. 

Because of her overwhelming arrogance, know-it-allism, and voluntary ignorance, one feels no pity for nadin.

If she comes across as "ugly" in the physical sense, it's because she's ugly in the spiritual sense.  If she were more modest, more humble, more gracious, more accepting of others, her physical ugliness would be minimized, if not utterly erased, in the eyes of those who behold her.

From the looks of things, I'd say Nada is "all of the above". One really has to excel in nastiness in order to achieve such "ugly"!

Kinda almost makes ya almost feel sorry for her! Almost! (Extra exclamation on the "almost"!)

and why I click on those threads... the first photo had a major gaffe... look carefully not at her, at him... I know he is probably saying hi... but the big no-no is he is grimacing in the photo.

I like to look at good and bad photography, learning shtick.

That is what makes this even more comedic.

Nads, deary, those are "pool" also known as "stock" shots.  Do you know what those are?

52. With modern camera gear it is easy
and you can be pretty unobtrusive. Carrying a 1D or D3, you are not unobtrusive.I am really trying hard to remember the last time I used a flash. That's why you'll never be a pro.

(Ok in Guanajuato and that was pitch dark) Sorry, Nads, jacking up the iso has major limitations.

And they fire so fast you can get a good photo, or rather a better one of a series. Greeting. at least five, most likely ten. You can learn something from studying those photos.  Why haven't you learned?

Some people I feel sorry for. But some people I don't.

Nadin and her ilk at DU have created their own hell on earth. She doesn't have friends because nadin dives them away! Its her own doing. People who are victimized have my sympathy. Nadin is a bully, and a narcissist. No sympathy from me.

When people say liberalism is a mental disorder, they are right. Look at DU. dysfunctional. delusional. unable to accept truth. Full of seething hate and rage. these people are insane. Many have been ostracized by their own families, you can feel the loneliness and despair at holidays.

BUT they are unable to learn from their own mistakes. Further we cannot institutionalize them. DU is full of incurable mental cases who built their own cages, every bar forged in hate. If ever we so displease God and these progressives gain true power....then yes they are the insane types to pick up Ayer's goal of purging/killing 25 to 30 million Americans. DUers embrace the same hate and ignorance that drove the willing minions of Stalin and Hitler.

I have a hard time feeling any sympathy for the pure evil that has ruined the inmates at DU. They brought this life of misery upon themselves.

I know people who are physically unattractive, but radiate such a love of life, inner happiness and care for others that their appearance fades to nothingness.  It's a joy to be around them. 

Much of Nads ugly is bone deep.  I'm sure that, like most of us, she has worries and unhappiness.  But, Nads has a home, plenty to eat, a family and is extremely fortunate to live in this country.  She chooses to run down all the blessings she's been handed. 

I think that Nads and most self described progs make a conscious decision to remain in anger, bitterness and unhappiness.  They'd rather all the world adapt their negative outlook than admit their shortcomings and make positive changes.  The faith that so many of them proudly eschew could help remove them from those dark places.

But she's "entitled" to all she has, and in fact "entitled" to much more than that.

She's the smartest person in the world, remember, and that needs acknowledged.

This is a common characteristic among those who reject their past.
