EMTPY CHAIR... Working on the debate story from last night but here is a problem. There are five candidates running for the 50th district in California, highly gerrymandered right? So four of the five showed up... the incumbent does not have to. And quite frankly given the number of engaged citizens that actually showed up, I can't blame him, even if I do.

So the other four candidates, a libertarian, two democrats and a tea party republican set a fifth chair on the stage, with the name of the incumbent. Yup, got photo of all the candidates including the EMPTY chair... as well as the Empty Chair all on it' lonesome, which will send to my editor as soon as I write the story and work the photos to the size she likes.

But think about it... that empty chair, needs slight cropping... is THE SYMBOL of one of the major problems we have when it comes to the system. Once you get elected, if the district is safe enough, you can refuse to face the public, aka your employers.

By the way to DU'ers in Ramona, you got a kick ass library... I am highly impressed, even if that was a hell of a drive for me, all the way from the coast. Why I am doing the writing NOW, and not last night... quite frankly got home, had some dinner and went to sleep... I really can't understand those who commute from there to places like oh... Miramar. That is a hell of a commute.

This campfire's been up a while, but the primitives are ignoring nadin.

So.....I nadined California's 50th congressional district.

It's in San Diego.

What makes that a long drive for the Great White Whale?  She could probably walk it.

By the way, it was "gerrymandered" by a strongly-Democrat-held California legislature, so as to get more Democrats, liberals, and primitives into an adjacent district.

The Great White Whale's got to put blame on shenanigans where the blame belongs.

I always pictured her as a skinny woman in a long flowing skirt with Birkenstocks.

Ramona appears to be around twenty NE of Miramar.

Did you notice the sweat stain the size of Portugal?

My guess is that the wet spot in the picture is probably someone else's vomit, rather than her sweat. I am willing to bet that she evinces an emetic response far more often than she sweats in that general location of her body. Other parts of her body? Harder to say.

I think you just need to insmallen it....a lot. :-)

Perhaps a quick look at... www.electstevedawes.com will show that the weeper can match her, wet spot for wet spot.

Moreover, it isn't out of the realm of possibility that the woman can cook, or at least responds favorably to such blandishments as, "bitch, go make me a sandwich," and in any case, many men subscribe to the streetwise philosophy of it all being pink on the inside.
