I'm going to hazard a guess here, but it would seem logical that the Bush family is so disgusted with their treatment by the media over the past 7+ years, that they don't want the scum anywhere close to such a personal, family event....I know that is the way I would feel about it.....

There were some photos posted up at DU.  I have to say, they all looked just beautiful.  Jenna's dress was very lovely and delicate.  I also like Laura's dress.  I liked the color and think it was a nice Mother of the Bride outfit. 

The groom's mother, ehh, I didn't like that dress at all.

I understand why he made it private...he has been in a goldfish bowl for years..it's the bride's day, and quite frankly,you're dead right, for once he didnt want a media circus.

He has a right to privacy like everyone else.

Mostly they didn't like Laura's dress, and thought Barbara looked a little weird...which I have to agree Barbara looks a little strange in those photos.  But in general I think Barbara is very attractive.  Oh and some wonder if Jenna's pregnant.   :whatever:

I ignored most of the replies, I thought everyone looked very nice.  Jenna's dress is beautiful.
