Breitbart's Legacy
« on: March 02, 2012, 01:55:40 PM »
I've been doing some thinking on this today.

Remember when Hollywood was patriotic? Remember when values were celebrated?

Drudge and Breitbart brought conservative ideas into cyberspace, much as Rush gave an entire generation of conservatives a forum on radio and television.

I'm wondering if we can take back some of the cultural ground we've ceded since the Vietnam War, when we let every leftist nut have a place in academia. We've seen the results--50 percent of the work force pays no taxes. People think "health care" and now even contraception is an inalienable right. People who believe in normal, traditional family values are labled "extremist." 50 percent of women under 30 give birth as single mothers.

There are some positive signs that conservative thought is gaining a toehold back into the great cultural mass-conciousness. Do you think that we can get it back?
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.
--St. Theresa of Avila

I think we can still get it back, but if the king of the world wins the selection then all bets are off.

  • If I agree with you, then we'll both be wrong.

Not until Conservatives get a set.  As a whole, we're too nice.  Look at the liberals - liberals know how to get things done.

Apparently we haven't "hit bottom" yet.

H5 for the fix.

I think the count is up to 3 advertisers that have dropped Rush.  Because what he said was so terrible to them?  No - it is because of liberals calling and whining.

I'd be shocked if Clear Channel doesn't take him off the air for awhile.

Rush makes a ton of money for Clear Channel.  If they drop him they will be dropping their own cash cow.
