We have high publicised cases in the US for people of money having slaves--domestic slaves----from other country's.
A whole lot of importing underage girls from overseas billion dollar industry, for domestic or sex slaves.
Sex slaves is a practice since time began. Male, female, any age up to perhaps 30 years of age, this is a fact of human life, some of the Bibles most honored by God had many slaves called concubines for that purpose. Note they may have had allot of wives but into the 100's of concubines at their service.
Slavery is alive and well through the world, male, female, and the trade in children has not done anything but to bring the unthinkable to our notice with the Internet.
Christianity did put a hurting on slave owners only in the last 3-400 years, however, it was outlawed in France and England long before we outlawed it.
A fact of life that nations were conquered looking for land, wealth AND slaves. What make anyone think we have changed human nature from that time to this time????
England when slavery was outlawed now turned to Indentured Servants, fancy name for a slave.
Phooey, back as little as 60 years ago people in my area had orphans in the city sent to them for an open air experience. Kids found their experience involved 18 hour work on a farm or in business that required them to work hard hours at no pay.
Shamefull period in our history, but this still goes on today. All kinds of shades of slavery, something that unless we change human nature will remain as a -----There for the grace of GOD go I-----------
