DUmmies are living in a drug-fueled fantasy wherein the cops are supposed to throw down their batons and join them, chant a bit, grab a set of bongos and sit in with the drum circle, smoke some granola, whatever the hell it is they're doing in the process of making their "point", such as it is. It's just one more example of the total disconnect between moonbats and reality. They've created their own world in cyberspace, DU is an example, where they are always right, the public always supports them, and they can bend anyone to their will through their powers of sure and certain righteousness.
Such is their arrogance that being told "no" or "stop that" completely mystifies them. "Why, these cops must be completely brainwashed, or owned by the wealthy. Otherwise, why would the be standing in our way? The law is merely an inconvenience to be skirted. How dare anyone enforce it in the face of our infallibility?"
Part of the blame goes to the municipal governments that for political purposes allowed them to flout the law in the first place by waiving the permits that any other group would have to obtain for demonstrations, allowing them to squat indefinitely in public parks, trespass, block traffic, foul the public areas with refuse and bodily wastes, and basically ignore any number civil ordinances that are in place to protect the rights of all citizens. All this accomplished was to feed into their grandiose ideas of being above the law, and in the long run made the job of the police tougher when they had to eventually enforce those laws. We see it happening right before our eyes as their "peaceful protest" has become more and more aggressive towards the police.
They need to learn and learn quickly that, no, they are not special and they are not above the law. They do not represent 99% of the populace. They do not dictate what others' best interests are. They do not create their own law by fiat. They are not entitled to take over lands that belong equally to all the people. If they refuse to learn this then they need the point impressed upon them in no uncertain terms. The sooner the better.
