Do you work 24/7? I work also, and have to take the bus/trolley from east county to come. But I do when I can to show support for something I believe in, and can bet I have even been there more than a few of you...it's not that hard to do what you are capable of and stand for something you believe in, even if it's just for an hour or two a day

less aggressive language, less statements that point fingers and are divisive, more demand for equal voices and change, facilitating the unification of the people by making the space more inviting for those who aren't 100% on board, more organization, more practicing what you preach (peaceful occupation - not acting in a reactive and judgmental manner, especially on camera for the fearful to watch and then be pushed further away). i am for the occupy movement, and at times i feel nervous about osd. i can't imagine what it is like for people on the fence or in complete opposition... needless to say, i will be coming down when i am able. be the change, right?

We need to make these occupations more kid friendly. Foul language and cigarette smoke isn't something children should be surrounded by. Maybe a designated smoking area? When I am there its hard to participate in anything because people are smoking their death sticks everywhere and I don't want my son breathing it in...

United we stand divided we fall. Stay positive and encouraging to each other. Leave our egos out of it.

Please remember that many people cannot physically be at the Occupation 24/7, and should not be maligned for this. Most of the 99% still have jobs, families, school, and/or a myriad of other responsibilities. These cannot be put on hold, so I think we should welcome any and all participation, regardless of what form it takes (as long as it stays non-violent).

Also, a bit less marijuana and alcohol on site would go a LONG way in encouraging the mainstream 99%ers (working families) to join us down there).

San Diegans are "fair weather fans", yo! You gotta 'incentivize' this movement to get these lazy, rich mofos off their couch!

  I have some free time tomorrow so I plan to pay a visit to the occupy San Diego folks, their website claims they are occupying the civic center, but I have heard on the news that they were moved to Balboa Park.  Either way, I'll find 'em and  I'll take pictures.

Granted, I live in only one part of the country, and a sparsely-settled one at that--although I do have "experience" being related to about one out of every three (or so it seems) people in Pennsylvania.

Where do the primitives get this notion that military, and ex-military, would possibly be on their side?

Sure, there'd be a few cranks here and there, but on the whole, it seems to me the overwhelming number of them are on the side of decent and civilized people; it's damned near 100% of those around here, and it can't possibly be any lower than 75%-80% in even the bluest areas of the country.

I visited occupy San Diego this morning, it was much smaller than I expected.  I'd say there are no more than 50 people there and, with the exception of 5-6 people at the entrance tables, they are all standard issue homeless folks.



The black guy in the weird suit came up to me and told me that I didn't have permission to take photos and that I needed to stop.  I told him to **** off.



Here is a shot of the whole shebang from the 2nd floor of the civic center theater, in order to get there I had to use the stairs in an adjacent parking garage.  The stairs are apparently being used as the primary toilet for the "protesters".



On the way home I decided to occupy Blue Water Grill for some excellent fish tacos.
