All good things must come to an end (my bumper stickers will be coming off)

I'm told I need a more neutral car to win the election to city council next year. Last look.

Center to right side.

after which a photograph of bumper-stickers on an automobile bumper

Left side.

after which another photograph of other bumper-stickers on the other automobile bumper

1. You should always be yourself, including your image.

If you attempt to win election by creating a false image, if you win the election, your voters will be disappointed with the false image you created for them when they look at your record and note that the false image didn't equal your actions.

12. Sorry, I disagree: there are some games you have to play

It's a fact of life. Kind of like not having facial tattoos when you apply for an office job.

2. Yes, take the bumper stickers off.

You do not want to start out by pissing people off just by the bumper stickers on your car.

And as for the Don't Put My Flag on Your Foreign Car one, a lot of cars with American brands are made overseas, and a lot with Foreign brands are made here. So unless you check the VIN number, you can't know.

3. elected office is of no value then

I strongly encourage you to resist the temptation to moderate your stance or compromise in any way for the sake of winning office.

If you abandon what you have to say for the sake of winning people over, you have not really won them over.

10. Oh for God's sake

This attitude is why "real" liberals so rarely win elections...

No matter how hard the Omaha Weeper tries to appear normal, it's not going to work.

Does he have to beat another moonbat in a primary, or does the democrat party simply designate a candidate?

By all means, don't let people know what you really think.

Not to worry, Steve, they will live forever as a screencap courtesy of one of your fellow Nebraskans.  I'm sure you'll be seeing them again, and not on DU.

Does he have to beat another moonbat in a primary, or does the democrat party simply designate a candidate?

I think The Bellevue City Council is non-partisan, as most city councils in Nebraska are.

The city web-site gives no information on political affiliations of the six members (five representing districts, one at-large), but five of the six have biographies indicating (R), while one of them is too vague to speculate.

http://www.bellevue.net/CityGovernment/CityCouncil.aspx

If that's the case--non-partisan--then Omaha Steve would simply be up against all other candidates in a primary, the top two chosen for the November election.

In other words, if there's three candidates in the primary for Omaha Steve's seat, then my fellow Nebraskan stands no chance of advancing to the general election.

Nebraskans might be alot of things to alot of people but one thing is certain and that is they are mostly Conservative and Fat Boy hasn't got a chance  unless he wants to sound like Regan and vote like he really is to get in.

Oh my.

I'm sorry.  Did Nebraska sell Omaha to Wisconsin?  I can understand having an opinion on what's going on in another state, but how many other Nebraskans really care about the Wisconsin governor?

Something tells me that a lot of people aren't going to buy that bullshit, especially after the first time Steve opens his mouth or is asked a question.  Especially after what happened in 2008.

Wow, a Liberal has to masquerade as someone he is not. I'm so surprised.   :whatever:

Has nothing to do with unions either.
