raccoon (1000+ posts) Tue Aug-23-11 09:27 AMOriginal message To make a handy cleaning tool, take an old toothbrush and hold its neck on a hot stove unit until the plastic softens enough that you can bend the "head" of the toothbrush backwards. The toothbrush will then get into some crevices that a regular toothbrush can't. I thought this one up on my own, though I'm certain other people thought of it too. That's one thing I'velearned from the Internet; if you have an idea, somebody else somewhere had the same idea. Probably several somebodys.

I remember back in the 80's when they had a commercial that demonstrated the DUmmie brain. It also involved a hot stove.I believe it also included an egg and a frying pan. I'll H5 the first person to post the youtube video of the commercial in question.

I have a toothbrush set aside to clean my wedding ring, I use toothpaste as a polish.
Toothpaste is a mild abrasive. It's also good for removing fog and film from plastic headlights. A tube of toothpaste (99-cents) and a random orbital sander with a soft brush ($2.99) works pretty well. My Camry has plastic headlight covers that were fogged over until I tried that as a cheap fix.Mother's $20 "polish" is a waste of money.
Oh cool! that's good to know.

I think the gigantic LVL posted something like this as one of his personal hygiene tips.
