When I saw the title, I thought the same thing.

He won't be the first.

No he wont --

There have been a handful of primitives who felt empowered enough by DU to run for office. As far as I know, all of them smashed their campaigns into the ground with the same bravado as Martha Coakley when she managed to torpedo her own campaign against Scott Brown. Hindenburg, meet the Titanic...

As a matter of fact, here is a commemorative postcard from the occasion...

Whoa.

That's Sarpy, not Douglas, County.

Right south of Omaha, where Offutt Air Force Base is.

Sarpy's the third-largest county in Nebraska, after Douglas (Omaha) and Lancaster (Lincoln).

I don't know any political personages from Sarpy County, but I suspect this could be even more interesting than if my fellow Nebraskan were running for something in Omaha.

Right by an active duty military base?   Yeah riiiiiight Steve and Marta, you don't have a prayer.   Shame the military brainwashes its personnel to become loyal GOP members.    Good luck with that.

Huh.  I guess those horrible paperback fantasy books that sell for 99 cents at McKays Used Books does have an audience of sorts.

Sending this site to his political opponent would be enough to shelf his campaign.

Heh.  I kind of half expected there to be a DU-type slobbering response...something like "It's all ChimpyMcBusHitler's fault".

His style of review is extremely irritating.  Just tell me what the book is about and what you liked/didn't like about it.  He bloviates, using "I" an awful lot.

"I picked up this book and was reminded of my college roommate.  During the second semester, blah blah blah..."

Steve needs to be proactive and explain to the people in the district why he has correspondence with the owner of a site that features a picture of Karl Marx.

I suspect his wife will decide against running for public office shortly. Announcement forthcoming.

DUmmy Steve needs to have a chat with walldude and cali.

I doubt even hiring coach as a campaign manager would help his chances.

You know, DUmmy Steve is sooo weird, he may want to take you up on the offer to manage his campaign. He'll need a way to get in touch.

You should publish your Mary Baker Eddy, or Margaret Chase Smith, or whatever the hell that e-mail address is that you use for correspondence with
Skimmer. DUmbass Steve may want it.

Coach, using that logic, because Schumer and Weiner are New Yorkers, the following have to claim them:

Karin, Carl, catsmtrods, and I. :o :banghead: :bawl: :censored:

I know I left a couple of you New Yorkers out.
"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of Liberty." - Thomas Jefferson

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

Chase her.
Chase her even when she's yours.
That's the only way you'll be assured to never lose her.

FreeBorn as well.  I can't believe some of the asshats we have to claim.  Judging by her accent, we have to claim Debbie Blabbermouth.  Then again, you Florida people out there have Alan Grayson.

Sorry, but I don't claim anyone I am not responsable for. I hate Tom Harkin and could care less if the SOB was on fire for instance.
