It has never cost me a thing to show compassion.  Even if it is shown for what proved later to be a partial or total untruth I've always been the one to reap the reward.  That probably sounds simplistic and naive.

I think this is a real one. That kind of cancer is a death sentace and there isn't much a doctor can do .Still I hope that maybe some kind of miracle can come of this and she makes it . It may not be a great life after that but it's still a life.

Wow. I am impressed by the outpouring of support for an ideological enemy of most of the people on this site.

Full disclosure: I am what the DUers call a Firebagger. I registered here partly out of curiosity and partly out of the desire to debate those with whom I fundamentally disagree on many issues, hopefully in a civil manner. Most of us are, after all, Americans and proud of it.

What I have seen on this thread is genuine Christianity at work. I'm sure Jesus would be proud of most of you. I know I am, for whatever that's worth.

1. We're great people with respect, dignity, and honor. DU would realize that if they weren't so batshit crazy.

2. So far, you seem decent to me. The only problem I have is with your name. The last bit in particular. I'm not really PC, but just the same as we wouldn't allow someone to put the N word in their name, I'm not sure "Gringo" should be acceptable either.

Cancer is bad under any circumstances, but her's seems to be hopeless from the beginning. I wish her peace and as painfree a time as possible.
