In any context, usage of "gay" as a slur is, at best, unenlightened and ignorant; at worst, hateful and hurtful. I think some people are under the misapprehension that it is somehow hip or funny to use "gay" as a disparaging adjective. Ironically, it's the sort of demeaning crap I'd expect to see on a Republican board.

Well, that was gay.

...not and be fair, anyway. A lot of us are "anti-religious" because we don't want to be governed by anyone whose positions are dictated by the irrational (i.e. faith). I don't think that's bigoted at all...just reasonable.

There IS something wrong with being gay while fighting against equal rights. I think the hipocrisy is what some people are trying to call out. They're not trying to use the "gay" part as a slur, but instead the implied "hypocrite".

I'm surprised nobody suggested using "ghey".  I also don't appreciate the DUmp trying to oppress my views on being anti-gay.  After all, I was born this way.   :popcorn:
