Poll question: kentuck and other posters have been discussing what we could do
with respect to mass action to be more active on our own behalf.

A lot of us can't make it to DC and may have to be more local in our efforts. I was wondering if demonstrating at Federal Buildings was an option for most DUers.

Poor stupid Beth can't even get down her rutted, demolished jeep trail to the gravel county road, let alone to the Federal Building. But she need not fear. By marching circles around the Airstream, holding a hand-lettered sign, she can affect U.S. policy as much as any DUmmy who travels cross-country to make an ass of himself.

Of all Americans buying anything, and being productive. They can shoot you when you demonstrate, but they can't shoot you for not buying anything or calling in sick.

Not One Damn Dime Day! It worked before, and it can work again!

Reading this thread and thinking back to all the brilliant protests ideas we have seen from them, everything from not one damn dime day, to banging pots and pans during the state of the union. Not one of those have brought any results.

So it makes sense why they hate the Tea Party so much. The Tea Party has actually been forcing change. They are jealous that we did what they can't ever do, and that is to get at least someone in DC to listen. Jealousy is what fuels these idiots, jealousy of the wealthy, jealousy of the happy, and jealousy of anyone who has anything they don't. Because of their jealousy they want to bring down those they envy, instead of wondering what they are doing right and trying to do the same thing. They would gladly destroy the entire country just as long as they can get those rich people.

Considering that there's a 'Federal Building' in each region of every Federal District, and 2-4 Federal Districts in most States, I believe that adds up to several times more locations than the entire DUAC.

It is not without good cause that she is known as the stupidest person on the internet.

 You don't show up for work? You're fired. Calling in sick, with a well-publicized "strike" out in the news? You'd better bring a doctor's note, and odds are most employers will tell their workers that if they happen to get sick on "that day," they'd better come in to work with one. You'd also better not be photographed at any rallies.

Try getting unemployment when your firing is caused by your own negligent behavior. They can, and do, turn people down in that case.

Then, the employer will hire someone to replace you at a lower cost to the company.

It's an interesting concept, but you're not going to get sufficient critical mass to make it work. About half this politically divided nation--at a minimum--wouldn't think it was a good idea to start with, so you'd be hoping to convince probably a small segment of the other half--not enough to make an impact.

As for a 'purchasing holiday,' the minute you put that out, the Tea Partiers will make it a "shopping festival" to counteract the effects of any boycott.

Aerows must have forgotten all about the vaunted health care reform.  "Not buying anything" in terms of health insurance could send you to prison.  Isn't the democrat party wonderful?

Poor Beth may be living in an airstream that is going to last allot longer then a house .

Check out these baby's, they can cost more then a double wide manufactured home and can be moved when the neighborhood goes to hell.  Little maintenance on them, no new roofs every 20 years, no painting every 10-15 years.

Beth has a Jeep that can pull her home most anywhere she wishes, room for her Mom and dogs.

When paid for she can travel about and have a decent roof over her head.

So Beth is a crazy woman, seems like she is smarter then the  rest of us that are tied down to morgage and land taxes and never get to go anywhere.

Airstream's are Classic homes and last forever.    I was looking at one that cost twice the cost of my home, When the SHTF  as it will, these suckers will being mobile, give some a chance to get out of town.
