There is only one person that can fix this mess.
   
It is not Barack Obama.

It is not John Boehner.

It is not the Tea Party.

It is not the present Democratic Party or the Republican Party.

It is YOU.

It is US.

We have stood on the sideline for years discussing what these folks are doing to our country. Well, they have finally done it.

We have to decide what needs to be done and we need to take action. We don't need to wait on the politicians in Washington. They are failures. They have no idea what needs to be done.

We know what needs to be done but nobody listens - not even our own Party.

We need to stop this so-called "global economy" from robbing us of our jobs.

We need to dismantle the hegemonic military industry that is robbing us blind.

We need to raise taxes on the wealthy and create a more progressive tax system in this country.

We need to stop the insurance and medical industries from making such obscene profits off sickness.

We need to rebuild our infrastructure to compete with the rest of the world.

We need to create government jobs because the private sector refuses to do so.

The only thing we have that they care about is our VOTE. We need to value our vote much more than we have in the past. It should not be automatic, no matter what dire consequences may befall us, according to those that want our vote. It is all we have.

We need to use our vote to change politics in this country. We cannot continue to be cowards that fall prey to political propaganda. Politicians in Washington need to understand that we are as serious as a heart attack.

But, isn't that what the Tea Party did? Yes, but their goals were negative and they did more harm to our country than good. However, their strategy was correct. Their goals were tragically wrong.

If you don't have the courage to do it, no one else will. We are doomed to failure and years of very difficult times. It is up to you and I. No one else can do it.

What he doesn't understand is the Tea Party is fighting for the rights of the individual to provide for themselves and their families by working for it, the left on the other hand is all for hard work as long as it isn't them having to do the work, they want those of us who are willing to work to go out and earn a living not only for ourselves, but for them as well, and we will not do so. If we can get out of bed before noon and go to a job that we may not like for wages that may not be what we want then they can do the same damn thing. This whole notion that anyone is owed the fruits of someone else's labor has got to stop if this country is to survive.

I have been reading DU for ten years now, and not once have I seen any of them say just what they are willing to do in order to make their own lives better, every last one of them wants the govt to improve their lives.

Unfortunately the last 2 1/2 years have done so much damage to us that  we are damaged beyond recall.   We can now never go back just limp forward and adjust to the whirl wind changes ahead.

I know of no one that can FIX our problems caused by Obama and his Czars, interesting word to call his people, makes me thing of Russia and we know what happend to the last Czar and family.

When it takes millions of dollars to place someone in power be it Governor on up, we are actually buying a leader that will protect the donors and not the public.

We the people elect those that make false promises to us, hide behind a sincere face with fingers crossed behind their back.

Sorry I did not believe Bush when he stated--read my lips, no new taxes------nor did I believe Obama with his false impossible to forfill promises.

Truth be, There are few and far between people I will trust my Country with.    Now Donald Trump was one of the few that I thought could pull off some schemes to benefit us world wide.  Just what we need a wheeler dealer poker player that is genius at the game, know when to hold, know when to fold.

I cannot see anyone at all that can help us to regain the prestige on the world stage we had when our cowboy was in power. Heck of a President, who would have thought he would do so much in office???

Perhaps we should place all the problems in the hands of a computer to give the percentage of fail or win for most big time problems.

Democrats view themselves as more intelligent as Republicans, and the left-wing of the Democratic Party view themselves as the intellgensia of the more intelligent, yet somehow they aren't smart enough to figure out how to get other people to listen to them and worship at their feet.  This phenomenon consistently amazes me.  At some point, a rational individual would wonder if they've maybe assigned themselves to a level of which they've never really ever held.  But then you immediately realize that after years and years of having the same things happen to them over and over again, rational and liberal don't go together, and they're too stupid to even see they're wrong, much less admit it.

Still, it never fails to fascinate me.
