This is just another boring, pointless post from our old friend, the DUmp's master of seduction, stevenumbers. It's a DUmb post,
with no good replies, but I think any time a man goes to the trouble of typing out a post with one hand, he deserves some recognition:

Would President Obama ever allow a default to occur ?
I've already read that, via the White House spokesman Jay Carney, the 14th Amendment will not be used by President Obama.
If nothing gets through Congress for the President to sign (which I fervently hope does not occur), would he allow a default ? Sorry to be a worrywart, but ruling out the 14th Amendment in advance bothered me a tad. Thanks for your time.

Lots of people here stand ready to give him good advice, but we need to know what's going on.
We could have him hopping around in the sack in no time.

3. I have a feeling this will be a last second thing.
Probably a clean debt ceiling limit increase at 11:59pm on August 1st.
As for Obama allowing a default, I think he knows it would look bad on him if the US defaults (even though the lack of bipartisanship is to blame), so no.

11. If he allows a default, that's all the historians will ever remember him for
People won't remember all of the constitutional niceties and play by play legislative history. He will only be remembered as the president who had the US default for the first time on his watch.
